I’m learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me.

Heal, so you can recognize genuine relationships with pure intentions when they show up without sabotaging them.
Heal, so you can recognize toxic relationships with bad intentions when they show up and not invest in them.
I am a firm believer that you can’t ruin anything that is for you. But anything that is not for you, can ruin you.
About ten years ago I decided that the next step I needed to take in my life was to accept and explore what it meant to be a failure and to have failed. This infuriated almost everybody in my life and clearly terrified a lot of people. People do not want you to accept failure. They dont want you to like... Sit with and think about it and pick it up and turn it arpund in your hands and really examine it. They want you to keep throwing yourself against the impossible walls until your body explodes! They do not want you to say "alright then, I've failed. What does that mean for me? Im still here. What does the life of someone who has failed look like?"
This makes people very angry and panicky.
My mental health improved in ways it had not in the previous DECADE once I stopped. And. Sat. With failure. And thought about what my failure ... Was. And looked at the structures that produced it and examined them critically.
It is so taboo to fail and admit it openly and talk about it. It is so taboo to talk about or think about failure in an accepting way rather than hiding it shamefully until you experience a degree of success in some area which allows you to present the past failure as "a stepping stone" to your current situation. Fuck that. We are put in positions of guaranteed failure by society every day and then punished and shamed for it. Lets fucking talk about failure
how can ppl say cats dont have feelings like.
when my cat got deadly sick she refused to eat a single thing and it had been days but when i started crying she ate just a little bit, and upon seeing how happy it made me, kept doing it whenever she could.
now whenever im sad or crying she finds wherever i am with a mouthful of food and eats the pieces one by one, every time looking up at me making sure i was watching her eat it all because she knew it made me happy. and it DOES make me happy
i love cats!!!
im so glad my little Foofy has touched everyone’s hearts… she luvs you all
cats love their giant stupid clumsy kittens so much
I love calm people. The ones choosing their words wisely, never raising their voice. Not living to show off, but to exist in a quiet and harmonic way, trying to at least not harm anyone. I find those people inspiring.
I HAVE WAITED ALL YEAR TO POST THIS
"i forgive myself for what i did" and "i should not have done that" are two statements that can and should coexist. you can forgive yourself while holding yourself accountable. you can understand that you fucked up while also understanding that you're human.
2022 will b a great year filled with new experiences, success, blessings, love, and enlightenment. i am claiming that now
All of this. The lack of sleep, the soreness from the gym, the endless caffeine. It's going to pay off after these 3 weeks. I'm going to pass this summer class because all of the effort I put in will be rewarded.
You cannot bloom in the same soil that poisoned you. The reason why it can be a struggle leveling up in those circumstances is because you’re still operating in survival mode. You have to prioritize changing your environment first so you can finally start healing, and that healing begins with having a healthy, nurturing foundation.
AH, I absolutely agree with this idea. James Clear mentioned in his book Atomic Habits that you can't form good habits or break bad habits in an environment that holds you down. Sometimes it's the people around you or just where you grew up. You have to have a positive environment that encourages you to grow.
May you receive a sign this week that puts your mind at ease and fills your heart with hope. 🤍🕊
I had a bad experience yesterday at work after a whole shift them taking advantage of me being a student. I got yelled at directly in my ear for putting labels directly on the lid and it fired me up so badly I had to restrain myself from hitting the person. Despite this inconvenience and test of my patience, I definitely had a wonderful time learning time management and working with teammates.
I got to take out my frustrations at the gym with upper body today anyways! 6/10 day
All my studying and hard work will pay off.

Do you ever just go wow I have a lot of repressed anger
It's time to kill the idea that we can only grow and heal when we're uncomfortable. You heal every time you have a good conversation with someone. You heal every time you laugh. You heal every time something makes you smile genuinely. You heal every time you have fun creating something - anything. You heal every time you get so absorbed in something fun that you forget your struggles for a while. There is, in fact, lots of healing and growth to be found INSIDE your comfort zone.
