how to live your life like the BRATZ ā”
self love & confidence!!
living life everyday with self-respect and self love will take you such a far way in all aspects of life, and will make your life more enjoyable and easy. make sure you take the time out of your day to remind yourself just how amazing and capable you are. be your own best friend. understand that what you focus on grows.
self care !!
you deserve to be treated with the upmost care. schedule times to pamper yourself and also check in with yourself.
taking care of your mind and body goes hand and hand.
for caring for your mind:
meditate, journal your thoughts down, do some yoga, connect to your religion/spirituality if you follow one, make affirmations for yourself that cater to your needs, practice gratitude.
for caring for your body:
create your own spa! indulge in a bubble bath or relaxing shower where you can use yummy scented body washes/soaps/exfoliators and body conditioners, do a hair mask, give yourself a manicure and pedicure, do your eyebrows, have a set skincare routine that is catered personally to your skin problems/goals, give yourself a head massage, wear matching or yummy scented lotions and perfumes, work out, try new delicious recipes and make sure you are eating good for your body.

school and personal goals !!
one thing i love about the bratz is that they took their education seriously and helped each other whenever one of them needed the help. nothing is more fabulous than being educated and ambitious. you can do anything you put your mind to. ļæ¼
create a study schedule for yourself and limit your distractions, when itās time to study put your phone away and remove anything that you know will serve as a distraction to you, give yourself breaks from here and there too!
create a vision board! cut and paste pictures of things you want for your future onto a poster board or be creative and draw and color everything out! this is a great reminder everyday for yourself if you put it somewhere youāll be able to see whenever you wake up or a spot in your room that youāre always looking at for example. (what you focus on grows!)
jot down all the things you want to do or improve on, whether thats creating good habits for yourself, learning a new language, etc.
have a passion for fashion !!

Why I no longer subscribe to the "hypergamy" and "feminity" culture:
Over the past couple of years we've seen a renaissance in online discourses and the creation of niche communities surrounding dating upwards your social class, and embracing your feminine attributes. These were things that highly interested me because I've always subscribed to both ideals, and I've seen first hand how low standards and poor inner connection with our feminine roots can cause misery in many women. So I decided to join the online discourse and promote these ideals in my own way.
Lately, however, I've found that many of the beliefs that have become entrenched within these circles may be more harmful and dangerous than any good they may provide. Beliefs of women having to dumb themselves down to not appear "dominant" over their male counterparts (without taking into consideration the lack of respect from others this brings your way), purposely appearing weaker to be "treated with more delicacy" (without taking into consideration how this can cause others to feel more comfortable abusing you), having very rigid concepts of what feminity is (excluding the forms of self-expression other women may have, which inherently doesn't make them any less of a feminine being), upholding harmful patriarchal standards (such as female submission), among an array of other things.
Some of these beliefs have real-life harmful consequences. Dating a man for the sole purposes of having proximity to his wealth, instead of building your own, can subject women to forms of financial abuse, which may also translate into other kinds of abuse. Without having control of your own life, you lose your sovereignty, your capacity to stand up for yourself at your own will, your individual weight as a person.
Pretending to embody all the things that women have been stereotyped for centuries: lack of leadership skills, lack of intelligence, lack of strength, etc. Are all things that shouldn't be romanticized, and these days this is what movements like the hypergamy and online femininity have unfortunately become.
The nuance in all of this is that you can still be stereotypically feminine, and date only men that are affluent. But dating these men shouldn't force you to devalue yourself as a woman and diminish who you are, just so you can inflate the male ego and uphold the toxic patterns we've been socialized to follow in regards to gender relationships.
You can have your own assets, be successful and assertive, and still be dainty and have a soft demeanor. You can date affluent men, and be affluent yourself. You don't have to dumb yourself down to expect others treat you with care and delicacy. You don't have to choose between dating a man that you actually like and have feelings for, and dating someone you don't find attractive just for his wealth, you can have both.
Having an abundance mindset to acknowledging that this lite has a lot to offer and possibilities are endless, and discernment when listening to online advise that may put you in very sketchy situations in the long run is crucial. Remember that you will be the only one experiencing the consequences of your own actions, so don't let the popularized trends you see others partake in bring you towards a path you may regret in the future.
Work on yourself and always regard yourself through the highest possible esteem and standards, and keep those same standards for everything and everyone else in your life, this way you will entertain the things and people that give you the treatment and see you through the less you see and give yourself.

I wrote a little history on my favourite brand, I thought I would post it here incase anyone else is interested xoxo
see. even men know this and are trying to tell you.
Iāve had this comment on my mind ever since I posted this. I think itās the use of the word ācurrencyā that has been weighing so heavily on my thoughts. Beauty really is a currency of sorts. You can āpayā for attention, dating prospects, free gifts, and peopleās manners when they talk to you with your looks. I just find that interesting. Another example in the book of pretty privilege.
I ordered a coffee from starbucks today with the descriptors of "might give me heart palpitations" and "will make me feel as powerful as that time I dumped my boyfriend and took his best friends virginity". Safe to say my barista came through.
