i need to steal my mom’s muffin recipe holy shit these are so fucking good

ok i got it and i think i transcribed everything properly. this was apparently originally a pumpkin bread recipe that my mom just turned into muffins so the time and temp of the oven might need to be changed but she didn't mention that so i'm defaulting to just following the recipe book's instructions. happy baking :3

Have all ingredients at room temperature 68-70 degrees F. Position a rack in the lower third of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease muffin pan or use liners.

Whisk together thoroughly — 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Combine in another bowl — 1/3 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

In a large bowl, beat until creamy (about 30 seconds) — 6 tablespoons unsalted butter

Gradually add and beat on high speed until lightened in color and texture (3-4 minutes) — 2/3 cups sugar

Beat in 1 at a time — 2 large eggs

Add and beat on low speed until blended — 1 cup pumpkin puree

Add the flour mixture in 3 parts alternating with the milk mixture in 2 parts, beating on low speed or stirring with a rubber spatula until smooth and scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary. Then fold in — 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

Scrape the batter into muffin tray and spread evenly. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (about 1 hour). Let cool in pan on a rack for 5 to 10 minutes in tray before removing to cool completely

"femboy" in its original context was coined as an alternative to "trap" "shemale" "dickgirl" and "tranny" when transphobic straight men became embarrassed to use those terms in front of each other. it is a porn category word that was used then and is still used now to justify jerking off to trans women while calling them effeminate men. it's an insult that is being reclaimed by some transfems, and as with all insults, if it was not originally aimed at you then you have no right to reclaim it. we all know that it has nothing to do with being a femme man and you are engaging in bad-faith wordplay games if you claim otherwise.

i don't think any genuinely transfeminist man or boy, cis or trans, of any aesthetic persuasion, would choose to use that particular word if they really thought about it. and if you aren't genuinely transfeminist and at least that bare minimum of thoughtful then i don't wanna fucking know you.
