Defence is technically allowed.

Will anyone do it? Maybe?? You could stop access to a feeder pretty easily

Yeah but I don’t really see the point in that though. Because since you’re only allowed one robot on the other side of field you can only block access to one station and given that each side has two you really don’t lengthen the opponent’s cycle times that much.

You also don’t really want to play defense around the opponent’s endgame area in case they push you into a cage which would get you quite a few fouls. So even though defense is allowed, it’s not really beneficial.

I mean during the off time if the other team had a robot who can’t use the trenches then the speed bumps are a pretty good choke point, seems like these will be matches with a lot of points that come down to a few points difference in the high ranks so it’s possible it could make enough of a difference
