Okay, I'm elbow-deep in election campaigning but it's still summer and I need a show so here we go, I'm throwing myself into this mess. Haven't interacted with ASOIAF since the maybe fourth season (only hate watched to the shitty end during another election campaign) and could not stand the latest (last?) novel but there is love in my heart for this canon, for some unfathomable reason. Maybe it's the many beards. Or the intense tropes. Pray for me.

that “negative kudos” poll really got me lol i have a full time job and a family. do you know what that means lol. I don’t think many people know what that means? it means i have maybe 1 hour MAYBE 2 hours a day that are mine unless i sacrifice sleep. and i use them to write fic most of the time and then i chose to post it online. And there is a subset of people that exists out there that thinks they can and should be able to publicly dislike or negative kudos your fic if they don’t like it instead of just continuing to scroll or hitting back. man no wonder so many people are so easily turning to AI, this unfeeling unflinching thing that just gives and gives more and more slop but who cares about the quality or the person who made it as long as you can just demand more and more and be given more and more. Fic and fanart are not products, you do not get to “review” them. We call it commenting because it’s not a review. And kudos doesn’t reflect on quality, it means thank you for sharing. if you feel the need to complain about something someone used their precious and rare and still valuable time to create for you for free, keep scrolling or literally just die

Hey! I'm also gravitating back to play SWTOR again actually. Other than that, it's Cyberpunk (again) where I want to finish my WIP before I write anything else. I actually really miss writing SWTOR fics, too, thank you for your kind words.

I think I have good DA fics too, but I'm carrying too much of a grudge to re-visit them and find out, LOL, so here are five other faves: You wanted me unconquerable in which Kaidan is left to pick up the pieces after a Control ending and navigates through grief with Steve. Kaidan Alenko/Female Shepard, Kaidan Alenko/Steve Cortez(ME3, Teen) They’re not the love of each other’s lives and maybe that’s sad but part of him thinks thank the fuck.

* Not Perfected in Love in which Michael and Lucifer talk. Religious sibling rivalry and angst a-plenty! I still vastly prefer this Michael to the canon's conclusion of him as a character, call me conceited. (Lucifer, Teen)

I think the Cyberpunk 2077 fandom has a decent adherence to canon for the most part but I find it hilarious that most people saw that the game canonically takes place over the course of 1 month and had a simultaneous "Well, the medallion says that's dumb" reaction to it. At most the main plot from Acts 1-3 lasts 2-4 weeks but I know so many people whose personal timelines for the game are 3 or 4 months. Nothing brings a fandom together like a collectively enforced lie ❤️

Last Christmas holidays I played this for the first time. I'm going to count it as one of the best fictional things I interacted with in 2025 but also ever.
