Sometimes there are so very few of good moments and the object of our love seems to be so emotionally distant from us and we crave that love and care and emotions, we are happy about every little emotion, every small good moments that person gives us. The more distant he is, the more we try to get those emotions we need so much. So every time he gives us just a little, we feel ourselves the happiest people in the universe, and when he turns his back to us, we are unhappy again and we try to find out what wrong did we do..everything was so great, we had amazing emotions and now it’s bad again..You see that lack of love and care made us addicts who don’t notice that our partner is simply an emotionally distant person. It’s not about you, it’s not about if you did something wrong. That’s your partner. There is no good in becoming demanding, the more we ask them for the more they seems to do not care. The way is you either take them as they are and accept the fact that you will probably won’t get from them that love and care you dreamt about or you go further and find another partner. I would not recommend to quit if you are not sure that you don’t regret after doing it. Being sensitive people we tend to regret things we say after a while, so if you are not sure, take time. If you did and regretted afterwards, know that there is none of your faults, admit the fact that you were unhappy and that’s what you wanted to do. Now you can go further for looking for a more suitable relationship with someone more loving. Then imagine that you have a new partner a loving and a caring person. There could be a trap for us, if we are used to fight so much to get those emotions and now we get them ‘for free’, we might be less emotional with that new person, because we don’t have to try that hard and do our best. So, do we want to love and be loved or do we need a little bit of a fight, of an obstacle? Did we get so used to the thought that we need to deserve love and if there is no drama, we don’t have those emotions? It’s both true and not true. We still want to be loved and we surely want to give that love back. The balance is to find that person who love you and take care of you, but at the same time if you just take that love, but can’t love this person back there is no happiness. And staying with an emotionally distant person is another option, but you should not have illusions that person will ever change. He/she might change, but only if they want to. You are not a life saver, a fairy, that person he needed his whole life who can save him and teach him how to love. Forget about it. The good lesson we can have with an emotionally distant partner is to take people as they are, to accept other person’s freedom and is to reunite with your own creative inner child who seeks freedom. This is a wonderful feeling and I’m thankful for an emotionally distant partner for giving me this experience. How would I discover my own seek of freedom if I didn’t try to imprison a person who seeks freedom so much. Yes, we demand, we try to get what we can’t get. And there are two ways - to keep on doing it and making ourselves unhappy ot there is a way to grow. And that time when you grow, magic can happen, yes, your emotionally distant partner suddenly can show more love and care than usual. But if you didn’t change yourself and just tried to change to change him, it won’t work. When you truly start caring more, another person can show more feelings. But don’t think that person will change completely, probably showing an affection would be difficult for him for the rest of his life. The thing is you take this person as he is and keep on going through this life together or you chose to go another way. Is it scary to go another way because you think there are no other men/women you can be happy with or is it because you truly love that person? Answer yourself a question, if there suddenly appeared a smart, loving guy who would tell you he would love you like no one else and kiss you all day and night, would you still choose your partner or would you be interested to get to know that second guy and perhaps break up with your partner? When I finally decided I choose my emotionally distant partner with all his minuses and pluses, the person I was waiting for my whole life appeared..It is a good exam. Yo need to think if you can stay with a not very emotional partner for the rest of your life, and what if you meet that person you were looking for, the more time you are together the more you might hurt him one day, when you finally meet someone one day. Your emotionally distant partner is in fact emotionally too, perhaps more than you think, but for some reasons he doesn’t show his feelings. It doesn’t have to mean he loves you but doesn’t show you. It’s hard to measure love, he might probably have less emotions for you, but maybe he loves you the most he can do, we can’t measure other people’s feelings, we just can take them as they are. So, the thing is how much comfortable do you feel with your partner, are there more negative or positive sights? Even if you find a more loving person who can express his thought and emotions unlike your current partner, there would be difficulties too, there are pluses and minuses in any relationship. The thing is to find that border between compromises and feeling happy. When you stop blaming yourself and thinking you spoil everything it’s easier to live. Whatever you choose you have a reason to choose, if you think you made a mistake, sometimes it’s only because you blame yourself. Have the courage to say Sorry when you are not right, but never blame yourself in choices you had to do, If you left, you had to do, and if you stay you will have to figure out if it makes you happy. Please make choices that make you happy, enjoy your freedom and creativeness. And even if the most perfect in your opinion guy left, it meant he wasn’t that perfect, it is just your imagination and need of love that makes you idealize people. You are a truly beautiful soul, never forget it. Take care of yourself.
