Woo Dohwan behind the scenes of Allure Korea, May 2026
u guys. u guys. mctna rlly was a once-in-a-lifetime generational drama. not a single show has come close to even tipping her crown. layered dialogue, complex relationships, and characters who lose nearly everything dear to them. woo do-hwan’s sad gay eyes. and it wasnt even that popular
Woo Do Hwan for Allure Korea, May 2026 - EDGE SHADOW
Characters who are like “let’s run away together let’s get away from all this” when it’s already too late!!!!!!!
i haven't thought about my country: the new age for a while but i'm happy to report that i still feel insane about it

“If you touch my sword one more time, I will kill you.” Woo Do Hwan as Nam Seon Ho in MY COUNTRY: THE NEW AGE —2019, dir. Kim Jin Won
While you were studying the blade, I was studying you. You're weak on your left side and your footwork could use improvement. Also I think I've fallen in love with you. Who said that.
Is this the companionship they write about in books?

“I tried my best to hold onto it, but I can’t hold out any longer. So I’m just going to let it go now.”
WOO DO WHAN & YANG SE JONG as NAM SEON HO & SEO HWI My Country: The New Age (2019) dir. Kim Jin-Won
'Brother in arms' oh they were in each other's arms alright
Kim Taeri 김태리 — Elle Korea | March (2025)⠀⠀
nobody will ever do it like seo hwi and nam seon-ho bc well first of all obviously who else would react to their fomer best friend stabbing them w the words "your sword still feels affectionate" but even that aside. they way both of their respective lives suck ass and it is at least partially the other guy's fault and theyre both passively if not actively suicidal themself and yet they keep imploring each other to live because even if that life is spent in the pursuit of each others downfall they need to know that the other one is alive and then they meet as enemies on the battlefiel again and again and every time they maim each other they immediately have a nervous breakdown about it
THE HANDMAIDEN (2016) — dir. Park Chan-Wook
