currently romanticizing the era of blockbuster-esque video stores. like imagine home movie night being an actual affair: you have to make a little pilgrimage to the movie store, you get a bunch of options but they're curated for you, maybe you pick up a pizza along the way or a few snacks at the store, then you get to settle in back home with the single movie that you picked out that you're excited to watch. instead we have to cope with the overwhelming choice paralysis of having every single movie ever made constantly at our fingertips to the degree that nothing is special anymore and everything feels like a waste of time
