Charity was standing outside the shop staring in the window at the trinkets and lights. Christmas had been hard for her so far this year, thatâs why she had stayed at Hogwarts. Going home would have left her feeling completely dazed and blank. She still had to find presents for her family though, and that wasnât proving easy. She was going through this in her head when someone tripped next to her, dropping all their belongings.
âAre you alright? Here, let me help you, that was quite a fall,â she said turning towards the other person.
Septima had been hoping not to fall. Sheâd just gone shopping and was loaded down with items from the money her mother had given her. But the ice had tripped her up, and sheâd gone sliding, pouring her items onto the street. âShit!â She said. She looked up at a face she recognized from school. âAh, yeah. All the spells in the world canât save me from a little ice, apparently.â
