Summary
In the era after Vecna and (hopefully) the end of Upside Down-related chaos, Steve Harrington picks up a hobby passed to him with love and care, honoring a found family tradition.
He finds peace in the art of crocheting: making things with his hands and sharing them with those he loves. From the adults who became the parental figures he never really had, to the kids who thrust themselves into his life and will likely never leave, along with the gang of misfits he calls his friends. Especially the one who is unexpectedly stealing his heart.
With each new crocheting project, Steve shows his love for them in all the ways he knows how and slowly learns how to receive it in return.
Or, the 5 crochet projects Steve gives to everyone + the 1 project he makes just for Eddie.

SO excited to announced my project, Project #071, for @steddiebbang, Love on the Menu!!!
Looking forrward to working with my lovely artist @thotpuppy and beta @sereinpetrichor
If you like unlikely roommates to friends to lovers, food as a love language, and classic rom-com tropes, this fic might be for you <3
Summary below the cut:
Things are finally looking up for Steve. Vecna is gone, Hawkins is free from the machinations of the Upside Down, and Steve has gotten accepted to the University of Chicago. Nothing could derail his new beginning.
Until Robin suggests that he ask Eddie Munson to be his roommate.
Eddie, who snores like a subwoofer.
Eddie, who leaves his dirty socks hither and yon across the apartment.
Eddie, who is apparently a culinary genius and likes to remind Steve of all the ways in which his cooking skills are inadequate.
But ... maybe Eddie can teach him a few things. Maybe they could even become friends ... or maybe something more?
Hello there! I'm super jazzed to reveal my project for this year's @steddiebbang
I'm so excited to be paired with @rebelwithoutabroom as my artist and @sereinpetrichor as my beta! 🎉🎉🎉
Here's the summary:
Eddie has no idea how he got himself into this situation.
One minute, some super hot rich guy is flirting with him in his uncle's failing auto shop. The next minute, the same super hot rich guy is asking Eddie to be his fake date to his cousin Chrissy's wedding. In France. Steve promises him it'll be a good time, and that he'll make it worth Eddie's while. It'll keep Steve's parents off his back (and piss off some of his more conservative relatives as an added bonus).
One long weekend.
One destination wedding.
One bed.
What could go wrong?
See under the cut for a snippet!
"Oh, sweet," Steve said, picking up a piece of cardstock propped against the mantle above the fireplace. "Chrissy's got the itinary for the weekend." He scanned the contents, smiling. "Looks like it's gonna be a good time." He glanced up at Eddie, frowning when he saw Eddie still staring at the bed. "What's wrong?"
"There's uh… there's only one… bed," Eddie replied weakly.
Steve raised an eyebrow at him. "Yeah," he said slowly. "Is that… a problem?"
"No," Eddie said. "It's not a problem—"
"Everyone thinks we're boyfriends," Steve said. "Of course they're gonna assume we share a bed."
"I know," Eddie said, regretting that he'd pointed it out. It shouldn't be a problem. It wouldn't be.
"Look, if it's really that important to you, I can ask if there's a spare cot or something around," Steve said with a shrug. "It's really not a big deal, though. You never shared a bed before?"
Eddie snorted. "Of course I have," he said. He thought about getting a cot like Steve said, then worried what Steve's family might think if they found out his 'boyfriend' was sleeping on a cot in the room they were sharing. He took a breath, mentally shaking his anxiety off. "It's fine," he said, meeting Steve's eyes, decisive. "It's totally fine."
Steve's features relaxed into a smile. "Great," he said. "Promise not to hog the covers."
Because happiness is also having him, completely relaxed on the couch with his pup, looking at you with dreamy eyes, like as if - after all these years - he’s still stunned to have someone as beautiful as you by his side.
i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about
It'd always been a running joke between their friends and family that Steve was Wayne's favourite nephew.
The funny thing is that this started when Steve and Eddie were still nothing but friends, and yet there was no denying it; Wayne took such a liking to Steve that it was impossible not to notice the difference in treatment.
With anyone else, Wayne Munson was this closed off, quiet guy that offered hand shakes and four word answers when he was feeling friendly enough. But with Steve? With Steve he talked for hours about sports and Eddie's embarrassing childhood stories; smiled soft and gave the boy hugs without being prompted to.
Eddie found this amusing.
Soft was a word he never thought he'd use to describe his uncle, but it was the only one that came to his mind when he saw him interacting with Steve. Wayne treated Steve like a loving parent would treat their kid, and this warmed Eddie's heart in a way that left him breathless sometimes.
The kids loved to tease him about it. How Steve was Wayne's favorite, but Eddie honestly didn't give a shit because Steve was Eddie's favorite too, so he totally understood.
As years went by and they built a life together, this never changed.
Steve and Eddie became a couple, moved in together, then moved from Hawkins and to Indy and the joke stayed more alive than ever.
Steve would always be the first one Wayne hugged when they came back home to visit, the man would always take Steve's side in whatever argument he and Eddie were having.
"I know you too well, boy," Wayne would say. "Just apologize to him and fix things."
Five years after they moved to Indy, they came home to spend the holidays with Wayne and, despite their endless claims that gifts were unnecessary, the man shoved a wrapped box in their arms on Christmas morning and told them to open it.
Steve opened his present first, and burst out laughing when he saw what it was. Eddie's confusion lasted only a moment before Steve fished his gift out of the box and showed it to him; a white t-shirt with 'FAVORITE NEPHEW' written in bold red letters.
"Oh, so you finally admit it, old man," Eddie said in fake offense, only to earn a slap upside the head.
"Shut up and open yours."
Eddie did, and had to stiffle the sob that almost escaped him as his eyes stung.
He got a t-shirt too. His was black, with 'FAVORITE SON' written in white.
"Now that that's settled," Wayne smiled, patting Eddie's shoulder as he got up from the couch. "Let's eat."
Eddie was still stuck in place when his uncle disappeared through the kitchen door.
"Aw, baby, are you emotional because your uncle loves you?" Steve teased him.
One moment Steve is standing on the top of the radio tower, watching its antenna getting crushed by a fucking planet. The next moment he is thrown off the platform. He tries desperately to hang on, can hear Dustin screaming, can hear Robin screaming. He tries to hold on but the momentum is too strong, his body has been begging for a rest and despite his promise to Dustin he loses his grip. He loses his grip and falls.
Dustin, he thinks once more as he falls. Dustin has to lose someone again. Eddie's death already broke him, Steve hates that Dustin is going to lose him now too. And Robin. He's barely had time to speak to her the last few days. There is so much he had wanted to tell her, had wanted to hear from her. And now they are both going to lose him.
That is about all he can think until he stops falling. Only that…he didn't fall long enough? He barely fell like 30 feet? And the impact wasn't harsh and deadly but...soft? The wind is rushing in his ears but there is more. Something that sounds like wings. He is still moving fast but no longer downwards but rather upwards.
With a gasp he opens his eyes and almost screams. Yup, flying, he is definitely flying. What the fuck. Or well, Steve isn't flying. But the body he is pressed against, the body the arms wrapped around him tightly belong to is flying.
Pale arms, with scars and hands with sharp claws. There are rings on the claws that seem familiar and ink? Bats. He knows those bats, has seen them in his dreams for almost two years every night. Steve whips his head around so fast he almost gets dizzy, only that he is too stunned to speak when he sees who's carrying him and flying him through the red sky of the upside down.
There are sharp fangs glinting in a smile when an oh so familiar voice says, "Sorry, I'm late sweetheart. But I've got you now, I promise."
PSA: tumblr user littlefuckinmonster is stealing human bones from cemeteries in Louisiana. Please don’t let them get away with this and spread the word/signal boost!
For anyone who wasnt around when this happened, this was real. Littlefuckinmonster was actually stealing bones from cemeteries. She is the bone stealing witch. She was specifically stealing bones from poor people. She was arrested for it.
