I don’t think you understand how obsessed I am with the way Taylor is rolling out her rerecorded albums. Not only is she giving each one it’s own unique release/promo/merch BUT like the way she’s just so fully embracing her past self and the emotions and headspace she was at when she wrote the albums. It would be so easy to look back and be like “oh hahah I use to be SO dramatic” and she’s NOT and it really brings home why she’s doing this in the first place. Not for the money, not just for paving the way as an example in the music industry, not even just for the fans (although that is a big part of it too). She’s doing it for her teenage self who wrote love songs about the boys she was crushing on in high school. She’s doing it for her 21 year old self who dealt with an absolutely heartbreaking relationship who wrote some of her most memorable and emotional songs in her discography. She’s doing it for her past self and we aren’t giving her nearly as much credit for what an amazing job she’s doing

I always get confused when people apologize for texting. Like, dude, my phone volume hasn’t been on since I bought this phone and it is face down at night, you could text me at any time as much as you want and I’ll respond whenever I notice them without any though of the time or volume of responses I send back. like I've spoken to people who think in images, who have to translate each thought into words before they communicate. and I think entirely in words, laid out across the void inside my head. my father's thinking is 3d, concepts structured in ways that are incredibly difficult to translate into words. and how would that look to me, if I could see into it? how do I perceive a thought that my mind cannot contain by the nature of their construction?
