I don't think Tolkien is a good fantasy writer because he scored the highest at some objective Best Fantasy Book Test that every fantasy writer has to take, I think he's a good fantasy writer because he created a world based on things that he was interested in. I feel like a lot of fantasy writers think that they need to create a whole language for their world because Tolkien did and obviously his books are the best so they have to emulate him, but Tolkien did that because he was a linguistics nerd. I think the lesson to be learned from him is not that you have to include elves and deep history and new languages, but that you have to write endlessly about the things you are a huge nerd about and use those things to create your fantasy world

Hey, I’ve read your works and I’m so obsessed. Don’t know if you take requests but I had an idea for a Snowgriff fanfic with female Jon snow. What if the rebels arrived to Kingslanding in time to stop Gregor Clegane from killing Aegon. Ned and Jon Arryn convince Robert to keep him alive as a hostage so Robert basically insists that Ned should be the one to keep him then. So basically Aegon is raised in Winterfell along with female jon snow. Obviously they fall in love and are like childhood sweethearts. Cue angst. Like them not being able to be together since Aegon has to leave to join the nightswatch at a certain age as part of the hostage deal.
Hi! Thanks for enjoying my fics!
I’m good for requests! It’s a promising idea and I’d have fun writing this plot — like, I already have a few scenes in mind for this one that I’d love to write. But I don’t have much time to write in the foreseeable future, so IDK if it’ll ever be more than plot / scene notes or skeleton drafts.
I’m not opposed to anyone else also picking this idea up, if you don’t mind, anon. It’ll be nice to see how others can be inspired off this idea.
So you reblog and dont answer me on discord??? Sussss

Every single fic update there is an author trying frantically to find the right balance between a nonchalant aside of "leave a comment if you enjoyed =)" and clinging desperately to the coat tails of a random stranger, dragging along behind them on the street wailing "Please, please! I have to know what you thought! I'm desperate to talk to people about this! Ask me about the alliterative repetition! Ask me about the symbolism!"
writing? oh, i’m definitely writing. in my head. during the most inconvenient times. like in the shower or when i’m about to fall asleep. actual typing? no, no, we don’t do that here.

i write for myself not for comments but dear god getting comments does so remind me of the joy of writing and sharing something
I'm in a mood to put SnowGriff in every Targaryen era in a time/body regression sort of deal, and let them mess up the historical timeline for -- what they *think* will lead to Targaryen supremacy/restoration -- but are sort of making things worse?
