I've watched a lot of dinosaur documentaries, and a lot of them include bits of narration talking about how the end of the age of the dinosaurs involved years upon years of ash from volcanic eruptions and the asteroid impact filling the sky. And I gotta say, dang, I feel bad those poor dinosaurs having to deal with days like today for years on end.
The documentaries always talk about them starving but honestly I wonder how many of them got taken out by lung cancer.

I'm watching I am Frankelda and I have a few thoughts:
This is an ASTOUNDINGLY gorgeous movie on every level.
I want an art book of it so badly, every single character and set design is superb and I could look at them forever
I fucking love stop motion man
This is making me want to make more little dolls even more than I already want to make little dolls
Fuck I miss making stop motion movies, I wish I had room for a studio and time to spend hours and hours making one minute of film again
This better get a physical release stateside. I want this on my blu-ray shelf.

Please put on your N95s. The same ones used for covid will filter particulate pollution. I lived in a city with yearly winter pollution levels like this. If you can pay for it, you might as well get an indoor air filter to sleep in.
If you can't afford a proper air purifier or can't find one in stock, these are sometimes cheaper to build:
Make sure you get the best rated furnace filters you can. If getting all those is too expensive, even one of those furnace filters taped tightly to a box fan (to force the air through the filters so it doesn't come in through the cracks) can help pretty substantially in a small room.

Never been a big fighting game person but I've always thought db fighters and strive look so cool. Guess what cool fact I just learned.

To explain to those who may not know this wonderful factoid:
As Demily stated, both games are arcsys games, but Dragon Ball Fighter Z was their first game in that particular engine. The movement system was set up such that only one character (our titular Goku) actually had the code for movement, and every other character essentially had a line of code that said "see how Goku does it, and do that."
This has a few benefits. It decreased the amount of code needed per character, made it easier to tweak the movement across the board, and was really funny.
This same movement and mechanical system and engine would follow into the next Guilty Gear game. But why change the reference point if it still works just fine? So all the characters in that new engine ALSO had the code that said "go see how Goku does it, and do that."
So in the depths of Guilty Gear Strive's files, there is a lone Goku. In the wrong place, in the wrong timeline, holding everything together by being the only character that actually has the code for the core game mechanics.

my favorite thing about crocodiles is yeah they're fantastic swimmers and yeah they can run pretty fast and yeah the smaller ones can even climb trees but also. they don't wanna do any of that shit. they just go no, no thanks. that's not for me. i think i'll just wait for someone to mistake me for a log and get too close. and then i'll eat them. many reptiles love this strategy but none pull it off like the humble croc

fantasy stories love to begin with the world's most razeable peaceful little farming village having a big grand festival
It's the best time to raze a village because there's usually people from nearby villages visiting for the festivities so you get to kill more people this way
