My memories were taken...and Bakurah was killed...
Now he's alive and in possession of another thief...
What in Ra's name is going on anymore?
Jono whined in protest but sighed. “I guess it can’t be helped. I’ll still be here when you come back. I won’t tell Set or anyone else that I remembered you. Just…be safe…okay?”
The thief king gave his love one last kiss before standing, tossing the bloodied rag aside. He’ll treat the wound properly later. “Don’t you worry. I’ll be back, one way or another.” He adjusted his clothes and went back to where he climbed in. “Just be sure to leave an easy passage for me to enter.” He winked before scaling back done his grapple and rope.
He got up to watch Bakurah make his escape, only praying to the gods that he would be safe and come back to him soon. Once the thief was out of sight, he laid back down in his bed and curled up to attempt to go back to sleep. However little he got that night as he went over painful memories all night long.
Bakurah rested his head on top of his hand, gripping his own hair with a wince as Jono worked. “Nngh…make sure it’s deep enough to scar.” He looked down, watching his lover work.
Jono tried his best to not let tears drip down his cheeks at the thought of inflicting pain on Bakurah, but this was for the best. He sucked it up and continued, finishing the last character as quickly as possible. “Done…” he reached for a nearby rag to press it on the bleeding wound.
Bakurah let himself sit up, holding the rag against his wound with not even a grimace on his face. “Excellent.” He pulled Jono’s face close to him so he could peck a kiss to his lips. “Now you will know it’s Me when I visit.”
The small servant whined a little against his lips and set the knife down, clinging to him. He didn’t want to see his thief leave again, but he supposed he was thankful he didn’t completely forget him and that Bakurah bothered to come back to him. That made him feel good in knowing that he was worth coming back for. “Mmn…” He parted suddenly from the kiss to bury his head in the crook of his neck.
Bakurah rubbed his back, making hushed sounds to soothe the servant. “I wish I could stay the night, but I still have work to do. I will come back for you. I promise.”

Jono had a point. There were many thieves and he intended on keeping this one for as long as possible to have a body. He could show his true form, but he didn’t want to scare the boy. Instead, he reached for his knife. “I’ll do this. A scar on this body that only you will know exists. There’s no way to reverse my demise, but as long as I can possess someone, I can at least visit.”
"Are…are you sure?" His hands remained at his thief’s sides. He bit his lip and nuzzled into him.
"Positive." He nodded and kissed the top of Jono’s head. "You carve the scar, wherever it will be. Make so only you know where it is."
He pulled back just enough so he could take the knife, running the cool metal between his fingers. “Lay down…” Once his thief was lying down, he moved the robes and the shendyt down just a bit to expose a bit of his right hip. “Just take a deep breath…” Jono warned before cutting into the skin, carving his name in small hieroglyphic characters.

Jono wasn’t sure how long he’d been out, but he awoke to the thief…his thief…petting his hair. Red eyes fluttered open and fixed his gaze on him. “Ba…kurah?” He slowly sat up and clung to him. “Where have you been all this time? It is you, right?” Normally Jono wouldn’t throw himself on thieves, but something in his heart told him this was the man he grew close to some time ago.
Bakurah only ran a hand down the servant’s back. “It is me…I’m sorry.” He allowed himself a faint smile as he allowed his small lover to hold onto him. “I was killed. That’s what had happened.” He murmured. If he was going to be honest with Jono, he needed to put it simply. “I’m only here because I possessed the body of another thief…”
It took Jono awhile to process that and clung to him tighter. “Don’t leave me…maybe there’s a way to make sure you stay.” His hands went beneath his robes to rub his chest. “How will I know it’s still you if you posses bodies just to be here?”

bakurakingofthieves replied to your post: It has been a year since the former thief had seen the servant. Will he still remember him? What has even become of him? So many questions went through his head as he scaled the palace walls to Jono’s servant quarters to find him sleeping soundly. He could feel his heart ache just a bit seeing him. Jono must hate him for leaving him when he needed him the most. Taking his chance, he laid beside him and held him in his arms. “Jono…I missed you…”
Being hit was far from Bakurah’s expectations. He knew Jono would have been mad at him, but not with this much hostility. “Jono, it’s me…I’m back…”
"Get away from me! You shouldn’t be here!" He clenched his fists, about to punch him if need be. His memories were wiped clean when the thief disappeared, so he knew nothing of his affairs with any thieves in the past. All he knew was how he hated them for what happened the last time. "I hate you!" He spat in his face and punched him in the jaw.
Bakurah grimaced and rubbed his jaw, trying his damnedest to not strike the servant back. His millennium ring glowed brightly, as if reacting to him. “You really don’t recognize me…the man you loved and saved you from that tyrannous pharaoh?!” His grit his teeth, eyes glancing to the ring and back to Jono. “I will make you remember me…”
"N-No! Get away!" Jono scooted back in his bed, finding himself trapped against the wall. There was nothing he could do until the energy from the ring found it’s way into his consciousness. His memories were searched and old one’s were replaced. When it was done, Jono collapsed into his bed.
This was a risky thing for him to do. Not only would it hurt the mentality of thief he possessed, but it could also hurt Jono in the process. It was a risk he was willing to take. He needed Jono and knowing that he was just made to forget him angered him. Whomever was behind it was a fool. For now, he sat beside his sleeping form, petting his soft, blonde hair.

Jono squirmed in his sleep, having been able to sleep well lately. Upon feeling that soothing warmth, he turned and snuggled into the man's chest, whining in his sleep. He didn't know who it was, but it was so inviting.
After awhile, he opened his eyes to see the thief king. Immediately, he recoiled and hit him. "What are you doing here?!"
servant-jono followed a thief...
Bakurah held the boy in a tight grip, smirking as he did so. “Now we don’t want to draw the guards attention towards us, do we?” He whispered in a sharp voice. In a swift motion, Diabound had slithered back up the thiefs body to his neck where it bared its fangs at the struggling boy. “I wouldn’t move around so much if I were you, Diabound doesn’t like that, now hold still…” He lifted the boy off the ground a little to make sure he had him in a tight grasp in order to carry him if he had to.
"I’m just here to talk a little…"
Jono glared at the snake, not really afraid of Diabound than he was of being captured by the thief. He desperately wanted to call for help or punch Bakurah in the face, but he couldn’t like this. He huffed and grumbled, nodding at the thief that he had better keep his word. If he doesn’t, as soon as he’s released he’s going to hurt him.
"Hmph…"
Not trusting him in the slightest, he figured struggling wouldn’t be a good right now with a snake so close to his face. For now, he stopped thrashing and kicking in his grasp. Bakurah had better make this quick and not try any funny business.
As Jonp stopped struggling, Bakurah gave a satisfied nod and slowly removed his hand from his mouth. The sound of metal was heard as Bakurah had drawn his dagger, holding it slightly pressed against the boys stomach, just enough so the slave would feel the danger of this situation.
"Now I want you to show me the Pharaohs treasure chamber, you sure know where it is and I don’t have time to waste looking for it." He nodded towards the great stone gates that connected the garden to the south side of the palace.
Stealing the Pharaohs personal treasures was a great insult to the god king, even if it wasn’t the entire treasure, what counted was the message and the simply fact that Bakurah wanted to take from Atem - with the help of his own servants.
Jono's eyes widened when he realized the severity of the situation. Instinct told him to not tell him and find every means necessary to break out of his grip, however it would be possible if he wasn't threatened of being gutted right then and there. The small servant squirmed in his grip and turned to spit in the thief's face. "I will never tell you that, filth! Let me go!"

Diabound rose from the grass, tilting its head and flicking its tongue at the boy. It only needed a few seconds of distraction for Bakurah to move from one corner of the wall, to the other so he was behind the young slave. Silently, he slipped to the ground, moved closer and was now only a couple of inches away from the boy, hands lifting to grab him from behind and silence him…
As Diabound saw his master coming closer, it suddenly spread its small wings, baring its teeth and hissing furiously to scare the slave.
Bright red eyes widened in surprised when he was captured, immediately triggering the response to thrash and kick whomever held him. “Mmn!!” He grunted, but unable to scream while in the thief king’s grasp. The snake’s hissing startled him a bit and he turned his head to see just who it was who has him only to see that striking white hair and a jagged scar on his cheek.
No…it couldn’t be him!
He already had a previously bad encounter with a thief and refused to let that happen again. Now he thrashed even more furiously in his grasp.

Smirking at the sight of such easy prey, Bakurah moved along the wall to a corner were palm trees were hiding him perfectly. He turned his head as an albino snake slithered out from underneath his crimson coat, looking at the young servant and giving an approving hiss. It needed no words for the thief to communicate with his Ka. Diabound knew what to do.
Letting the snake slither onto his palm, he sat the pale creature down to slither onto one of the big leaves - just to make its way down the plant and onto the ground. Diabound slithered silently towards the slave before it rose its head to give the boy a rather deep hiss.
Bakurah watched all this, with Diabound leading the boy away from the guards watchful eyes, he wouldn’t have to worry about any interruptions..
Jono was completely oblivious to the Thief King being so close to him, far too caught up in his own thoughts. His gaze was fixed on the night skies and was far too entranced with it’s beauty until he heard a hiss. It startled him and caught him off guard, making him fall backwards from the bench with a loud yelp. He sheepishly got back to his senses and stared at the snake.

Bakurah had been hiding near the palace, the entire evening. Even as the sun was being swallowed by Apophis , bleeding crimson light upon the palace walls and the Nile , he did not move. Ra’s death was only a welcome advantage for the thief as he watched the Pharaohs slaves and some guards finish their work in the gardens, to return back to the palace. All of them moved close to the guards, like sheep around sheperds … Only one remained alone and this was the one who caught Bakurahs attention …
Jono was let off of his duties for the night and decided to stay out in the gardens by himself. He was working too hard and part of him was happy to be of such help to his friends, but another part of him wished he had a larger status than servant. A soldier would be cool. He felt as though he had the ability to fight.
Then again, he didn’t even know if he even had a spirit ka dwelling inside him. He watched Set fight before and wished he had a monster like Duos or Blue-Eyes at his command.
Heaving a sigh, he laid back on the stone bench, staring up at the darkening skies. “Suppose I’ll have to work harder…” he mused to himself in his solitude.
