Been a long time since I posted here ain't it? Well here's an update from last time all of my current set ups, all is doing well, the 30 long especially is blowing the rest out of the water! Though it's lost its blackwater feel for the time being it stays emaculate no matter how much I feed, even tje glass stays clean! The rest have been fighting a small hair algae issue bit mostly under control now. Opaline gourami has moved from the 20 gallon to the 100 hes much happier and opened up space for a pair of blue rams which I've been wary of kerping in my 7.4 ph tap water but these guys were locally bred in a ph of 7.8 so shpuld be fibe, so far so good. Still a lot of things to do as always bit all fish are happy so no rush at all!
The Underwater Art of Competitive Aquascaping
The world of competitive aquarium design, or aquascaping, is just as difficult, expensive, and cutthroat as any other sport but requires expertise in many different fields to guarantee success. Aquarium designers possess large amounts of expertise in biology, design, photography, and excel in the art of patience, as individual aquascapes can take months if not years to fully mature into a completed landscape.
Behold the semi african themed tank! diatoms have browned the leaves but the kribensis love nibbling and grazing on it so all good! I didn't know there were african glass cats until i bought these asian ones but hey ho I love them anyways! going to get a total of 10 or 12. There's a synodontis eupterus growing up in there too, my first actually to be big fish! Now we wait and see how everything matures and settles :)

WHY DID THIS HAVE TO END
OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD
@lochsreblogs
Guava and catappa leaves added! Also added some of the water I boiled them in and got the look i wanted immediately! Just hoping the light is strong enough to get to the plabts through all that tint! Now question time fish lovers, baring in mind my african butterflyfish will be moving to this tank, what else would you get? I was thinking appistogramma are big enough and wont interact with the surface dwelling butterfly fish to be a problem. Or to keep an african theme and get kribensis and congo tetra? Throw your suggestions it wont be getting stocked any time soon!
