I think an underrated aspect of The Orville is that they literally say in the show that no one uses money anymore, that the advancements in technology meant that there was no scarcity in resources, and that people are still self-motivated to work and do a good job just for the sake of doing well.

It’s a relatively short moment in the show, but they made a point to say it explicitly, and I think that’s very cool of them.

Do you know if they are running episode 12 as it is or did they flip them and make episode 13 episode 12 since they're ending the season. I read that Ed and Kelly discuss getting back together, which seems like it should come at the end of the season, so I'm thinking they flipped them. What do you think?

I think episode 12 has always been episode 12. Seth already said that the finale is nothing grand with a cliff hanger just another episode. Ed and Kelly getting together would be AMAZING! But It will either be one of three things.

1) Ed and Kelly realize they are better as friends and they stop making the sparks betweenthemhappen.

2) They drag on the “DO THEY LOVE EACH OTHER OR NOT?” moments, which I personally don’t mind.

3) They end up together. It sucks to say, but I doubt that they will get back together in this season. The two of them and there chemistry is a hot topic. What would they do to add the spice between them if they get back together?  I just don’t see it happening…At least not right now.

I have no idea what episode 13 is about. But now I can’t wait to see it. Fingers crossed that they keep the sparks and the possibility of a relationship alive into the next season!

i FEEL like they're going to drag the whole Ed and Kelly thing another season. it's a major plot point in the show and they want to keep viewers intrigued. Honestly i'd be so surprised if they got back together in the season finale, just because it would feel too soon? i guess? i think they're gonna drag it on for AT LEAST another season, and then i'm thinking the season 2 finale.
