Reading for Korean language learners!
So i found this site the other day and itās actually amazing?Ā
Itās a comic written in Korean and you have the option to see the English translation below the comic. What i really love about this is that it also has cultural notes! That way you are not only learning the language but about the culture too.
Thereās also a vocabulary section so you can check that too if you choose the unsubbed version of the comics.
The dialogues and sentences are pretty simple so if you are a begginer like me youāll probably be able to understand most of it, except for some specific vocabulary words but, as i said earlier you can check the vocabulary section or read the subbed version and thatās it!
I canāt believe thereās a website literally called Korean Language Books and I didnāt know about it. Iām in love.

This is a great cheat sheet for beginners but actually in korean you can basically write the same sentence is many different orders, as long as the verb comes at the end
For example, you can also write ģ ė ķźµģ ė§¤ģ¼ ź°ģ

@ahkademicā The meaning doesnāt change. The reason why in korean you can do this is because of the topic/subject/object (and some other) markers used in its sentences.
Thereās a chapter in this great book called Basic Korean: A Grammar and Workbook that explains this very well. You can click on that link and go to Unit 2. It also has exercises you can do to learn this better!

How to improve your Korean handwriting
When I got confident in hangul (knowing the characters) I realised my handwriting is so ugly. I mean, my handwriting is ugly to begin with, but my Korean handwriting was the worst. I canāt even open my old notebooksā¦ So if you feel like you have the same problem, try these tips and see how it turns out for you! Iām not gonna lie, youāll have to practice a lot, but these will certainly make the process easier.
ģź³ ģ§ paper If you are starting to learn hangul, or having problems writing korean words properly in a lined paper, try squared papers. You can download these in 150ģ, 200ģ, 400ģ, 500ģ, 1000ģ etc. variants. Here is an example from keytokorean.com. Download & print. A lot of it, seriously. You are going to need these when you are practicing for TOPIK essay writing. I write all my essays on ģź³ ģ§. Donāt forget that there are rules you have to follow when writing in these papers, see more here or search for āģź³ ģ§ ģ¬ģ©ė²ā.
Trying out different fonts I couldnāt really develop my own handwriting style at first, so this trick helped me a lot.
Search for ākorean handwriting fontā. Direct link to my favourites: Naver Nanum fonts.
Choose, download and install one you like. Tip: download more than one, so you can try out different styles.
Open Word, paste a somewhat long text. Tip: ģ”ģ°½ģās ź°ėė¤ė¼ (click for video) lyrics (click for lyrics) has all the characters. Make sure you use a text that you know, you donāt have to understand it, just know what characters you are going to write. If you are a beginner, try a syllable list, see below for link.
Change the font to the one you installed, increase the font size to your liking.
Change the font color to a lighter pastel color, not too light though.
Print out the paper, and start writing over the light text with a pen.
Repeat until you are getting the hang of it, then try to write with the same style in a blank paper.

Create your own with your favourite lyrics, poem, anything & different fonts! ^^ (Btw it works with light gray text too, you donāt have to print in colored)
Best case scenario: your handwriting is now pretty. Worst case scenario: your handwriting didnāt improve but now you can easily read native koreanās handwriting. Or at least kind of guess the characters.
None of these will work overnight, you just have to practice and find your own style!
