i haven't ever pinned a post in the ~4 years i've been on tumblr but i have enough stuff going on now that i think it's about time i made one

so hi! i'm seven-snails (seven_snails everywhere else), you can call me that, or just snail, or liisa (my real name) (pronounced "lisa"), whatever works for you, i don't have a preference

i have about a billion interests and i post about all of them indiscriminately, but my favourites at any given moment are hunter x hunter, bandori, and revolutionary girl utena

i draw fairly often! you can see my work on my art blog -> pencilboxsnail.tumblr.com or under my tag #snail's art, and occasionally i will post things here that don't make it to my art blog for being low-effort or just a little silly :P

i also yap a lot, which you can read in my tag #snail speaks. my new year's resolution last year was to read/play/watch one new thing every month, and while these posts are under my main talking tag you can also find them specifically under #media journal 2025. this year i'm going to be similarly revisiting some series i haven't sat down with in a long time, and these posts will be under #media journal 2026

Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.

At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.

Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Miners’ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to “encourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community […] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.”

I WAS ABOUT TO SAY "was anyone going to tell me about killua having split heterochromia or was i just suppsed to find that out by rewatching hxh 115 myself" and then zeno, after this shot that just hangs on killua's eyes for a second, thinks to himself, "he's changed."
