First fic in a while! Hey y'all!! So excited for this. I've wanted to write something like this for a while, ever since season 5 when Buck mentioned one of my fave movies of all time 50 First Dates, and simultaneously understood AND misunderstood the movie (classic Buck). I personally feel like a lot of people misunderstand this movie, and think of it as something manipulative, but I view it more as a disabled person getting to choose her own life and love, and a man choosing to put in the hard work and love her even when he could easily choose the "easy" way out. Anyway, I love that movie and will defend it till the day I die and I wanted to do a buddie interpretation. I hope you like it!
A note, this fic is COMPLETE at 16 total chapters and I will be posting 4 chapters a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so periodically check back in, or just wait till October and you can crack open the fic and devour it all in one go if that's your bag.
