Not sure if this one's been done yet, but after doing a bit of digging, I found an original, full-size version of Angus Mcbride's art of Saruman and his orb, aka "Pondering My Orb" meme. (Yes, this is actually Saruman.) Unfortunately, I could not find the original title, if there ever was one.
After comparing a couple others, this was the best version I could find in high quality.
Now you, too, can ponder Saruman's orb in full, high-quality wizardry.
Enjoy!
Apparently someone got their car stuck on the light rail tracks at Mt. Baker. For those unfamiliar this is 35 feet up in the air

I feel like the Arizona license plate should take some place in our analysis of whatever in the goddam fuck we’re looking at here
far from the most important thing going on here, but that's a Utah plate
I knew it was slop from the beginning. So why was I obsessed?
This is the first emergence of a core problem of Dreammir.ai: The LLM is not actually the god of this world. You are. I intended for my inexperienced character to pursue this woman who so clearly knew what she wanted, and then get in over his head. The result might be funny, or awkward, but it wouldn’t work. Right? Instead, as soon as I signaled to the AI that my character was vanilla, and interested in a vanilla relationship with Rebecca, Rebecca became vanilla. Yes, the characters are surprisingly well-drawn. Until it becomes convenient for them to be someone else. Then they change on a dime, even when you don’t explicitly ask them to. Characters are shockingly believable until you see their fuzzy, mutable cores.
my friend played AI-generated visual novels and wrote about the experience so that you can know what they're like without wasting your money on them
Do you know the name of this area between Iran and Oman?
Yes
No
The above poll was posted on March 2, 2026.
Did you know the name of this area between Iran and Oman back then? Do you know it now?
I didn't know the name then and I still don't know it now.
I didn't know the name then but I know it now.
I knew the name then but I can't remember it now.

a work of music which is not good per se but which undoubtedly made the world of music richer is switched on bach. a work of music which is not bad per se but which undoubtedly made the world of music poorer is four chords
At the risk of sounding like an ignorant buffoon, I ask sincerely:
What effect did "Four Chords" have on music? Did it cause musicians to reduce their usage of the four chord progression in question? Or something else?
Candidly I had never heard of this song until this post (I just went and listened to it), even though I was well aware of the popularity of the four chords in question prior to listening to it. (It seems likely that this was brought to my attention as a result of the song.)
it is, of course, objectifying and misogynist for a female love interest to have big boobs. but naturally it's also creepy and pedo-coded for a female love interest to have small boobs. so really the only feminist way to have a romance movie is for both the romantic leads to be men

I can think of three pretty much completely different things that the term "Georgian" can mean
I vote the country gets to keep it, while the US state and British history from 1714-1830 have to get new words
#for the british i propose “the era of george”#and for the state i propose we rename it to South Carolina and rename South Carolina to Central Carolina
I'm not 100% sure on how well the first proposal would work, but I support the third Carolina

Hypothetical scenario: You're attending a wedding, and at the reception it turns out that no alcohol is being served. You know that the couple getting married don't drink alcohol often, but also that they don't struggle with addiction. You don't know anything about the drinking habits or restrictions of anyone else in attendance.
Would you be surprised and/or disappointed if you attended a wedding and there was no alcohol being served?
Surprised and disappointed/upset
Surprised, but neutral, not disappointed/upset
Disappointed or upset, but not surprised
Not surprised and neutral, I'd be fine with it
I'm more surprised when there IS alcohol

I don't know the expectations re: there being alcohol at weddings/show results
