‘HEARD YOU’RE FEELING BAD HOPEFULLY OUR KID WILL CHEER YOU UP” - Eddie, literally
I know it’s completely not what Eddie was doing by bringing Chris to LA - that it was entirely about bringing Buck comfort when he desperately needs it, but I can’t help thinking that Chris being back in LA will make him realise that LA is actually where he wants to be.
That LA is where he and his dad are happiest - where their life is and where they should be, and that’s going to prompt him to tell Eddie he wants to come back to LA in the last episode of the season - because ultimately Eddie isn’t going to make the move back to LA unless Chris initiates it and says it’s what he wants.
I saw a post that said Tommy should return to highlight to or even just tell Buck that his “I’m not your last” was a reference to Eddie. But also it would be nice for Buck to get closure on Tommy. We have only seen that Buck DIDNT have closure. And, while I’m a buddie lifer, I think Buck getting closure would be positive (also like how Abby came back to say goodbye and everything about Tommy’s role in Buck’s life is so Abby coded).
For Eddie… even if he doesn’t come to terms with his feeling for Buck this season, I would really like to have Chris asking about how Buck is doing. Even maybe have Ramon and Helena ask how Buck is- they’ve met him.
Aaaaaand finally if we are taking Eddie to El Paso, please please please let us see one or both of Eddie’s sisters who we have heard about but who have never appeared on screen. Eddie getting teased by his sisters or one of them asking Eddie to set them up with this “Buck” they’ve heard so much about…. 👀👀👀. Please, I am begging.
But I think we need to see that Buck is a core part of Eddie’s life. Even in El Paso. No matter where he goes, a part of him is linked to Buck. I think Chris is a core of that - Eddie himself brought it up in him yelling at Buck sabotaging subletters. I think we need to see other people recognizing the role that Buck plays in his life and we already have textual evidence from Tommy that Chris talks about Buck all the time.
something about eddie asking buck for help with dating advice for chris is actually so insane.
like ok yea “buck knows women” so you dont eddie ??
but what if the advice chris needs is how to tell his best friend that he likes her.
do you realize how. insane that would be.
also something about how that could be such a full circle moment with buck realizing he is in love with eddie because of the advice he gave chris about his best friend…
"Why's he so bad at this?"
Cause he's gay, Chris.
He's gay.

I just remembered when Oliver did that interview with L and they talked about the finale he said some fans are gonna be a little bit heartbroken…he was talking about Buddie stans with Christopher because nothing else that happened in that episode was heartbreaking.
I bet you’re right anon. That was so freaking 😢! I’m still not over those Buddifer scenes.
what i'd really like from s7 (aside from the obvious), more acknowledgement of Buck's co-parenting Chris
like idk, on a day off or something Buck goes 'i'm picking up Chris after school' or 'I'm doing a science project with Chris tonight'
just something more
