What I really like about the current direction of Overwatch's story is that many of the heroes they're introduced are young.
I say that because for a long time most of the roster were older adults who had first-hand experience fighting in the Omnic Crisis, but most of their alliances now are broken and shattered. They were scattered apart from each other and most of the stories told about their exploits are from a bygone age.
Now we're seeing the generation of young adults that grew up in a world that exists post-genocide. We're seeing how the global war shaped their lives and what direction they decide to take themselves. Overwatch (the organization) is slowly rebuilding itself with new soldiers to carry the torch of what they originally stood for, and with the threat of another impending genocide and the active global terrorism, they definitely have a lot of expectations of their shoulders.
Took a break to read some Overwatch comics and found out that they retconned the error about Kiriko's age. I'm so happy there are passionate people working on this game again. YES!!!!!!!
"My classmates performed exceptionally today. Perhaps I should ask the professor if she would like to join us all for a Chinese dinner."
Alright everyone, the results are in, and the defender of yuri and lesbianism is...

Official yuri bookmark!!!!
The courtroom drama she was half-watching while re-assembling her rifle was too engaging, and now Andreana is left with a job half-done.
Alright y'all. Very important question tonight.
Who is the most yuriful out of these Pokemon? As in, who is the biggest lesbian ally?
Gloom
Snom
Tsutarja (Snivy)
Jigglypuff
She listens a lot, so she's ended up learning quite a few medical terms by staying with Rhodes Island.
"That sounds...this unit agrees with that. The Mirror says, that one should never shy away from being...curious." The doll notes, she's finished her examples for now and with their drinks provided, she can settle down at the table for a little bit.
Compared to Ida before, though Ida herself is not so tall, the dolls are rather short. Well crafted, just mature enough that one might confuse them for either perfect dolls in a specialty shop, or a model for small sizes of clothing.
"It is curiosity and passion towards the unknown that seems to catch the Mirror's eyes..but perhaps the Mirror has always been like that."
Though they inform what they can, the doll does observe Daiyu with the same sort of curiosity that it's creator might have. Looking upon her with some sense of marvel as she tries all these new things, blinking for a moment when asked the next question.
"The Mirror is childish yes, she...no this unit wasn't meant to share that. Please dismiss that remark. Replace it with the remark that this unit does learn and take after what the Mirror has achieved so far with their experiences yes."
If she wasn't embarrassed before, being told that she had made a mess, the doll actually seems to heat up. Like a real person her cheeks turn rosy, eyes dart to the side for a second before she gently tries to lower Daiyu's hand from her cheek.
Imperfect.
Well crafted, stunning little dolls, but there are little mistakes, little slips. They're flawed, and perhaps that helps highlight how real they feel.
"This unit... the Mirror, er... we are all real... as in. Present before you, not imagination."
The admittance from the doll gets a laugh out of Daiyu, one much needed to wash away some of the tension she was feeling before. There's something about just sitting an talking over a cup of tea that feels... nice.
Even the doll's reactions are lifelike, they seem human. Daiyu lets the girl take her hand away before holding it for a moment. She has to wonder, is Ida like this as well? Just when is she going to get to find out?
As human as she seems, the doll appears to have a little difficulty answering the question.
"N-No, that's not what I..." Daiyu pauses as she contemplates on whether or not to pursue the thought any further. It's a little hard to word it in a way that doesn't sound rude or intrusive. Perhaps it might be better to ask Ida about it later.
"Ah, never mind. You are real enough, as you said. Although, do you spend all your time in here? Does Ida let you outside?" Daiyu stops and thinks before looking towards the door, then the window. She gets up and moves towards it.
"Wait, where are we anyway-" She jumps at the sudden sound of the door opening and steps back. Seconds later, the witch with the same face as the dolls steps through the doors. Ida has finally returned.
Knee Deep in the Valley of Bone
Starter for @severed-hearts's Rad Roach
November 3rd, 3549. Early in the morning on Terra, high noon on this backwater desert planet in the middle of nowhere, galatically speaking.
The Red Slayer had stopped by the planet in search of a third party bounty servicing station to collect on her own head, only to handily repel an ambush party lying in wait for her. All but one of them knocked out cold, and the one remaining had spilled the beans on what all had led to the Slayer's arrival. The remaining goon offered to lead the Slayer to his boss in exchange for mercy, and the fully armored Slayer agreed after leaving a bomb behind for the rest of the goons. Just in case.
Still at gunpoint, the goon boarded the Slayer's ship and provided the coordinates to reach his boss. Coordinates that led to yet another desert planet, but at least it was reasonably close. Once in atmosphere - thinner than comfortable - the Slayer landed her ship two kilometers away from the point the goon had told her was the boss's base, setting the ship to fly away and enter Orbiting mode.
The trek there was as barren as the rest of the planet, save for the massive bones littered across it. And what appeared to be the boss's base, standing tall in the middle of a proper boneyard. One of the guards had a laser rifle aimed at her before withdrawing it and giving a signal to the others. The gates opened, and the goon led the Slayer further into the base until the two of them reached a grand steel doorway befitting of royalty, the area suspiciously devoid of any other henchmen.
After shooing away the goon, the Slayer steeled herself for combat and blasted her way through the steel doors before stepping through to the other side, whatever awaited her there.
The surface of the boneyard itself is littered with the skeletal remains of not only several large animals, but also humanoids. Their bones are scattered, as if having been chewed up and spit out one by one. Piercing gazes fixate on both Slayer and the goon she holds captive, watching her with carefully aimed scopes.
The poor grunt being made to lead Slayer to his boss is sweating through his clothes, and his teeth chatter every time he relaxes his jaw to lead Slayer in the right direction. He dares not think of what might happen to him should he piss her off. Once Slayer releases him, he quickly stumbles away, slamming into the wall before making his exit.
Solid steel doors are twisted and blasted away by Slayer, leading her into the chambers of the man behind her bounty. Stone steps lead up to a throne made of scrap metal and bones. The stairway is illuminated one by one by green flames of a similar color to the glowing figure sitting at the top.
"Look who came at my request... Did you finally come to your senses, woman?" The deep voice of the figure echoes much more than it normally would in a grand hall like this one. Even though he speaks like one with flesh, the hollow frames of his bones offer no proper insulation for his voice.
"I've been waiting a long time for this, Slayer," he says with extreme contempt. "We're not just gonna let some stone butch think she can get away with all she's done, especially to THIS beautiful face," he points to himself, "are we, boys?" A group of guys come out from the shadows, all spiked up and holding guns, flails, and just about any brutal weapon they can get their meaty hands on. Roach curls his fingers around the handle of his battle axe, readying himself to give the signal for attack.
Gonna do a little more today! If I don't finish writing today I might flood what I have, maybe. Oh, and since it's Sinday, I'll let y'all see my nsfw blog which is right over here.
Just a fair warning, the lesbian slur is said every now and then there because I am a lesbian who's reclaimed it for herself. Also it is mostly OOC rambling because I only have like one thread going on there atm. I try my best to tag potentially triggering topics as well, so make sure to use the tagging system if you need.
Anyway, I'm gonna work on comms right away! :>
All I want to do today is write, work on comms, and take breaks to read or play the Muse Dash update. Finally, a day off!!!
I gotta clean out my bookshelf which yeah, I know. Fun :/ BUT once I do then I can properly show y’all what I have. I have so many books I’ve collected from since I was a kid. All my new books are kinda scattered since I’ve run out of room on my shelf. Some of these gotta go to a library or somethn.
What I understand to be the Godzilla bible if only bc…
Yeah
A little help please.
My job once again barely pays enough to afford even the essentials and with a recent hospital visit for some x-rays I am in need of your assistance. I don't want to ask for too much, but if y'all could spare around $100 to $200, this will help cover for things like transportation, prescriptions and more importantly cat food for my cats.
My paypal is here.
Please and thank you.
The nefarious migraine.
If Three Houses didn't come out when it did right before the pandemic, and if my friend hadn't gifted it to me, I probably wouldn't have gotten back into Fire Emblem.
