Day 74 Josh.Beverly,Ma.Josh is waiting for the 9:30 to get to Boston. I know I have a little time so I approach about Year of giving and he warmly accepts. Josh is 18 and employed full-time with Action Emergency Services. He works well over 40 hours a week happily. He says his boss is awesome and works with great people. He’s had this job for three months and likes the variety of construction work and towing. Josh is hoping his company will sponsor him to get his Class A drivers license. It will allow him to drive more equipment and larger trucks. He enjoys the towing and doesn’t mind the crazy hours. When not working he likes to hang out with friends go to the movies and listen to music. His employer has a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs so he said it’s easy to stay out of trouble and not use because he loves his job. He’s had a pretty good summer working ,visiting family in New York, and planning a future. He’s saving up for a truck to hopefully one day have his own construction company. He recently sold his motorcycle and now I relies on the train schedule and rides from his boss. He doesn’t mind it though, because it allows him to save. Josh would really like to attend Northeast tractor-trailer school and get that Class A license. At 18 years old he’s mature, polite, well spoken and so grateful for his employment. He invites me to check out one of the demo jobs over in Lynn. I wish I had time to go check it out. If you send me a picture Josh, I’ll post it. He feels fine meeting and receiving and will spend his $10 on lunch tomorrow. I’ll be sending you lots of good energy that you get a sponsorship for school.
