Hi everyone, I am here because of my mum. She has muscular atrophy and she really depends on her wheelchair. She can't even stand anymore, because she had lost big part of her muscles already. For seven years she had wheelchair that was great but after years of using a lot of things wasn't working
In the short - mum got a new wheelchair and it sucks. It’s big, heavy so she can’t even lift up the front wheels to get to the shower by herself.
It happened because since she got the old one (that was great but after seven years it really didn’t work properly) the rules changed and the inscurance instutition only pays for the cheaper ones. And even she tried to choose the best one, after she received it (they make a special one for everyone) we discovered it’s really not good. She is now sitting on her bed and nearly crying because she can’t imagine living with this one.
Because she must stick with this one for another five years (that is the minimum time before you can get another money from your insurance) I want to buy her a better one - same as she had before only with some little changes to make it even better.
