Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Raquel, would you mind throwing down some poetry prompts? :) I'd so appreciate it!
Of course I wouldn’t mind!!! :) I get stuck a lot too, so here’s some prompt sites that I have bookmarked for when I’m like “how else do i make sadness and love into words i’m clean out of ideas”
1. Dragon Writing Prompts, great for the fantasy writers and also complete with excellent writing challenges.
2. Twelve Days Of Writing, to get you back into the groove if you haven’t been writing for a while. If you plan on taking part in National Poetry Writing Month (you can make your NaPoWriMo any month!!), here’s 30 prompts to get you through.
3. Not officially a prompt, but Write or Die is excellent for just keyboardsmashing through writer’s block (try not to actually keyboard smash, just do the writer-version of keyboard smash and blurt out every word that comes through your brain even if it’s “sandwich taco taco taco,”). they have settings for the masochist in you and the peaceful flowerchild too (i’ve never tried the stimulus mode but it looks really nice?). Just make sure you copy-paste your beautiful result because the site will not save your writing!!
4. Mix and Match is a great writing challenge and the list of traits provided here is good for anytime writing too!!
5. The Character Attribute Randomizer is great for fiction/fantasy writers (and artists!!) and/or if you just feel like doing a flash fiction piece.
6. Speaking of flash fiction!! This is a random word and random phrase generator for quick flash fiction prompts (that second link does both!!). Flash fiction is my favorite type of writer’s block intervention!!! For those who don’t know what it is, it’s pretty simple!! just set up a timer (try for about 2 minutes although i’d accept up to 5 depending on your typing speed) and wRITE for those 2 minutes about whatever that word/phrase made come into your head. the best part about flash fiction is that if you have literally NOTHING to write about, you only wasted 2 minutes languishing over that one prompt. i REALLY like getting little writer groups together and just doing flash fiction for like an hour, reading our little stories and poems to each other :) mine get really weird bc who cares if i kill off everyone who cares if the main character is a duck like it’s maybe 200 words. i’ve had friends who hate writing tell me they love flash fiction :)
7. A list of poetry prompts, with links at the bottom for more :)
8. Since you’ve got to have the right mood, here’s where to find rain in the absence of actual precipitation, here is a white noise generator (here is another), and here is where you can find endless classical music (where you can skip/add/loop as many as you’d like!!). While you’re listening, check out this random picture generator and see if you can write about the images that show up!
9. One Hundred Themes to write about!! One hundred and eighty prompts to write about!! (some of these seem to be less geared towards stylistic writing, but whatever works for you works for me!!)
10. Writing is a Virus automatically generates more writing prompts than I could list, all with the click of a button!! :)
I hope this helped!!! :) good luck my love!!
i think the moon would like you
why? did she say something to you? tell me word for word
she said you are trying your best and she’s proud of you no matter what.
I have a massive obsession with burgers.
Thought you should know that.
One of the coolest fictional character tropes is the silly goofy sunshine that's super approachable and kind until you find out they can easily obliterate people without breaking a sweat.
Hello,
I hope you’re all doing well. 🌿
I need your help to share my family's story and raise awareness about our struggle. Every voice counts, and your support means the world. 🙏

I want to see every article about how original Charli xcx and her branding are deleted and replaced with an apology to this post
me: today is going really well and i don’t trust it some shit: *starts happening* me: ah there it is. the Fuckening™
just wanted to shout out this ancient post i made like 23 years ago & since then has been grasped firmly by the internet but repackaged in memes divorced utterly from its painfully 2016 tumblr origins.
frauds and heretics have stolen this definition from its ecosystem. it came from here it lives here it is of this earth and should have never been removed. i love u fuckening post. i am sorry they shaved all of the cringe off u and made a simulacrum of u in their shame. but i remember. i know from whence u came.

"You can't make friends onli-" I would defend any of my Tumblr mutuals to the death with only a pocket knife and random rock, you heathen.
Me when adulting
man we’ve been doing funerals all wrong over here
My friends, weeping at my funeral as they shove 5s and 10s between the biggest titties they’ve ever seen: it’s what he would’ve wanted
Okay, but this is actually a thing and it’s really sad?
People in China are starting to live so long they no longer have any friends and very few family members who know or care who they are. Except that in China, the number of mourners at your funeral is culturally linked to your status and honor and it’s culturally heartbreaking to have someone live a long, noble life and have less than five people at their funeral.
So they hire strippers.
They throw a giant ass party and throw the doors open and get all the people in that they can so these old folks who stuck around so long and probably did great things for the world, or the family, or even just existed in the way only they could for so long actually get the send off they deserve.
Culturally, it’s less embarrassing to have have strippers at your funeral than to have no one show up. At least everyone there is having a good time and thankful you existed, even if they only knew you enough to know that you had strippers at your funeral.
How is that sad that’s exactly what I want my funeral to be

they will need to whipstitch the wound closed, but embroidery is a "woman's" task. they will need to eat and clean and mend clothes, but why learn basic things when you can have a woman measure out your life in beads. he will be the "head" of your house, but if you want him to act accordingly, you must assign him a list of all applicable activities. you will be otherwise constantly in charge of almost-everything; so he will lead the house he is absent from.
in movies and books, the "cool" girl will be more-like-a-man. she will be "less boring," more "fun". she will have masculine ideas and masculine talents, which means a man doesn't have to change in order to find her fascinating. she will disdain of something as simple as stitching. how boring!
she will kick open the door of a car and quip what, girls can't drive? and flip her long hair down one side. she will grill and shoot a gun and skydive. be a guy. she will be sexualized.
somewhere, working on computers becomes a masculine task, and now on tv a gen-z disney character throws her hands up in the air. i can't be a computer science nerd, i'm a girl! in the real life, she will be unable to sit through some of her classes, shivering when she realizes she is the only woman present in several of them.
how many times have you read this book and seen this show and watched this movie. the singular woman is allowed 5 lines because she's not just smart! she's also pretty! she is surrounded by 20 average men, but she is stunning. she is the exception to the bland, pale lives of women-at-home, who will never be shown. she likes dirt and motorbikes and blood and shows up in a tiny dress during the final scene, rolling her eyes at our male lead's incredulity - just because i like motorcross doesn't mean anything. i'm still a woman, okay? i actually like shopping.
it is almost never reversed, and you think about that often. it is vanishingly rare to have a single man in a cast of women. the male love interest does not show up at a feminist march and sardonically squint at our leading lady - what? you thought only women care about human rights? he does not know how to balance a checkbook or kickbox because i grew up with three sisters.
when he cooks he is a chef, which is sexy. when he cleans, he's being kind, genteel. when he nurtures his family, confetti rains from the ceiling. when she does these things: it is her duty and her identity. what do you mean she has other passions and hobbies? isn't her hobby and passion homemaking?
the other day a friend embroidered a seam closed on your jacket into the shape of ivy. every time you touch it, you think of her.
something about women's hobbies and art and skills. something about women's work.
