The unlettered pages to Paul Pope and David Lapham’ collaboration with colorist Lovern Kindzierski on the sci-fi short story Treasure Lost featured in Vertigo’s anthology “Ghosts” from late 2012. Paul Pope said that this was inspired by Chris Foss’s concept art for Jodorowsky’s Dune.

Lovern’s colors are bit deeper here where print is lighter.

Naty has visions of the future from time to time. It cannot control its time leaps when it is young. Closer to evolution, they often fall asleep with their eyes open, in a dream-like state wherein they are traversing time mentally. They do not yet possess the means to physically interact with the future world, so they just admire it for their time as a Naty.
