Hadestown really did just set the standard for all proshots going forward. "The cinematography of this stage production was extraordinary" is a wild sentence but completely true. This is the rubric all future proshots should be held to.

God. Amber Gray in the Hadestown proshot. Wow. Just wow. She captivated Every scene she was in like I'm still in awe. Her fancy foot work, the way she was just swinging her legs around like they didn't abide by physhics... woah.. She was so full of life and energy. Plus her face could tell a whole story on is own it was that expressive. She just had so much personality and she just showed it with everything she did!! Honestly I wouldn't be mad if the whole thing was her

Have you watched the new Ebola Holmes movie? What do you think of it?
messy :(
i loved the first one and really like the second one and the third one gave me the ick lol
the premise is something i obviously like since i've written it - enola being conflicted regarding her marriage with tewksbury and all it entails - but the execution was poor and it just didn't make sense. the treasure and moriarty and kidnapping plot literally does not make sense. plus tewksbury's story about his dead and treasure hunting was so heavy handed that from that moment i figured out the whole plot and was like okay :( but then the journey wasn't even good. no explanation of the tertiary players, why the fire happened, why moriarty bothered to kidnap sherlock when apparently she knew about the cave all along?? tf?? and also how. why keep them alive if not providing proof of life? or using them? trying to use sherlock and then holding tewksbury's mother's life over his head would have cleared that up and they even had the dynamic and then. didn't do it
enola saying she was running late to the wedding and tewksbury immediately knowing it was because she was second guessing the marriage even though it's enola i'd be less surprised if she was one time and also why was she getting ready at a castle miles away from everyone else. why was she alone. also on what planet would mycroft not attend enola's wedding, not because he likes her, but because of the social implications if he doesn't. tewksbury wandering around a small room on fire yelling for his mother even though she obviously is not in the room?? the intimacy of them partially undressing each other in the cabin even though they're still fully clothed and enola would not care about her underthings being seen as long as she's actually covered and it not making sense to me timeline wise - either they've shirked propriety in this way already or they're sticking to it and there's no reason to change now. also she undressed to go swimming in the ocean kept her CORSET ON. i almost turned it off i was so mad, i tightlace in corsets for renfairs and have for years and no way in hell am i swimming in a corset get that shit off. also the ending where? he just gives up his title?? for no reason? they stablish he's leading the progressive charge in parliament and that's a good thing and then he just goes fuck everybody else i'm gonna... not be titled anymore? for some reason? it was dumb. also i liked john but the fact they dont have john and sherlock exchange a single word was incredibly weird to me. like it's not about them but they are there so. what
also unfortunately i think millie's acting was worse because she can't move her face properly. that and the weirdly modern makeup and WEDDING DRESSES that was not present in the previous movies was very distracting to me
that being said there were some good chemistry moments and scenes i enjoyed so. better than good omens 3

Julien Davinos gives me big "would akira slide across a battlefield if given the chance" vibes.
lan jingyi is literally insane first he lansplains zidian directly to sect leader jiang cheng’s face and nearly makes him cry in a 20 second argument by saying you killed your martial brother stupid, then he gets in another fight with another sect leader in the middle of a corpse invasion just so he can roast su she for being a tacky knockoff in front of a jury of his peers. if lan jingyi found reason to beef with a god he would not hesitate.
Jason returned to his apartment. He went to open it but found there was a new lock on the door. Pissed, he knocked loudly on it to see who the fuck had the balls to change his locks and try and squat on him.
The door clicked open.
Tim was standing there looking like a two year old trying on their dad’s clothes in Jason’s sweats and sweater.
Tim: yo.
Jason:
Jason: you think this is funny.
Tim: of course not.
Jason:
Tim:
Jason: get the fuck out of my apartment!
Tim: it’s mine.
Jason: I’m not doing this today Timothy!
Tim: I’m Jason.
Jason:
Jason took a deep calm breath. He understood this now. He unfortunately understood it all too well.
Jason: is this because Bruce called you my name again and you’re trying to prove some point?
Tim:
Tim: not at all Richard.
He slammed the door shut.
Jason:
Jason: dammit. I can’t even be mad at him.
Bonus
Jason, sighing, turned to leave. He jumped as he found Robin standing there drenched in rain carrying a serious pout.
Jason:
Jason: Tim?
Damian, spitting: Dick.
Happy pride Shana!
Anything FMA please!

Esther has spent half her life as the Xerxian ambassador to Amestris and has weathered all sort of political tomfoolery and two wars. King Pakor's newest scheme with Ed is amusing, but ultimately a strange whim of a mostly stable monarch.
She's known many Furhers and many powerful men. She trusts Roy Mustang's intentions.
When Ed slips into her home in the middle of the night, she nearly goes after him with a frying pan. He's quiet and serious, and one of those things is bad but both is disastrous.
Then he tells her that the Dwarf in the Flask has somehow gotten involved in Amestrian politics, is likely embedded in this country in a way that's not good for any of them.
King Pakor must be alerted. This is too delicate and too important for the usual channels, but she promises to take care of it.
~
Al thinks this whole mess that Ed has gotten himself involved in is hilarious and his own fault really. This is what he gets for still going to court instead of ignoring all the missives Pakor sends because, really, what's the king going to do about it? There's no prison that can hold them and they already make bi annual trips to Xerxes to do the work of months of several construction crews. Pakor should just take what he gets out of them and be grateful.
When Ed calls him, he's expecting more whining and funny anecdotes and hearing what the hell he and Ling have gotten up to right under the Fuhrer's nose.
Except what he says is, "Do you know where Dad is right now?"
His stomach drops. "What's wrong?"
Ed never has any patience for their father. Whenever he sends a letter home, he refuses to read it.
"His old friend is in Central," he says, voices carefully casual. "He might want to swing by."
Al locks his knees together. "Get out of there."
"Aw, Al, don't be like that," he says. "If you don't want to visit-"
"I'll be on the next train out," he interrupts. If Ed won't leave, then of course Al will go to him.
The last time his family went up against the Dwarf in the Flask, their mother died.

When Van Edris steps into the office, Maes doesn't recognize him at first.
His hair is braided back. His jewelry is gone and the bright red and gold traditional outfit has been replaced by thick black boots, leather pants, and a black tank top with a wide neck. He's got on a long red coat that's not exactly subtle, but also isn't gold embroidered silk. He only has a moment to wonder who took Van Edris shopping when he stops in front of his desk and catches his eye before jerking his head towards Roy's office.
Confusion fills the rest of the office, but Maes only shrugs at the others before following Van Edris, since that's clearly what he wants him to do. He closes the door behind them and Van Edris stands, eyeing them both carefully. Roy doesn't seem to have any more of a clue about what's going on than Maes does and he looks at Van Edris and says something in Xingese.
Van Edris bites the inside of his cheek then says, "You guys are fucked and if you don't want to stay that way, you're going to need some help."
In perfect, unaccented Amestrian.
Roy's mouth drops and Maes tries not to be distracted by all that implies, instead asking, "Fucked how, Van Edris?"
"If that's even your name," Roy mutters. Clearly he's not interested in prioritizing.
"It's my name!" he snaps, then frowns. "Well, one of them. The other is Edward Elric, but that's really not the point."
Elric? Why does that sound familiar...
"The alchemist?" Roy demands incredulously.
Oh, right, that's why.
Maybe they should be focusing on the implications, actually.
