Meal #5

Tis the season for preparing Thanksgiving leftover, here's me recipe for Spiced Turkey Pockets on #CyberMeansPilot.

Medium metal bowl

2 cups diced turkey 1/2 cup cumin or curried sauce*

Mix together in bowl until coated

Medium skillet

1 cup sweet white wine 3 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon ginger (candied preferred) 1 clove garlic or 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon cumin or curried sauce

Stir occasionally and simmer on low until butter is melted

Baking Pan

This is a simple one pan dish that I often make (with some variations) when I’m hungry and don’t have a lot of time to prepare a meal for two.

Appalachian Discourse

This research was presented at Theorizing the Web 2017 in Brooklyn, NY on the 8th of April. The focus of the presentation was to examine the narratives from Appalachian regional media sources and national media sources that describe the Appalachia region and people & their views of the national election. This mixed-method study used a quantitative content analysis to examine the article and sort them based on the thematic and regional focus. The rhetorical case study examined the theme and discourse that emerged from the stories from the Appalachian region and the United States.
