 Clean Bluewater Village Templates - Rerelease

Continuing on with my rereleases of my clean templates, it’s now time for Bluewater Village.

What are clean templates, you ask? See this post for further explanations and install instructions! (Or click the “clean templates rerelease” tag.)

This one doesn’t feature as many updates as the base game ‘hoods, but here’s a quick list of what’s new:

Yves Jacquet now has basic memories, making him more “resurrectable” if you’re so inclined.

Dead sims who were originally lacking aspirations, zodiac signs and personality points have been given better, randomly chosen personalities and zodiac signs instead of all being 5/5/5/5/5 (cancer).

The Tinkers now have some toys in their inventories, to help them start up a business.

Fixed the broken face template of Wanda Tinker’s father Damion Zarubin.

Added a few skill points to a couple of sims that seemed like they should have them.

Old fixes:

As mentioned, the dead sims who were… lacking in most aspects have been fixed, including missing hair DNA, elders being correctly set as elder, females being correctly set as female, etc.

The usual: Memory fixes, DNA fixes, relationship fixes, reduction of dead ancestors to minimize character files, and so on.

There are a number of townies still in Bluewater Village, even though the majority of them have been deleted. Those who remain have connections to businesses, either as customers or employees, which makes them unsafe to delete. A few of them also have relationships to playables.

There are two versions - the original shopping district, and a main hood version, if you’d like to play Bluewater Village standalone.

Have you ever used the clean and empty stealth neighbourhood templates when creating a ‘hood, and then later regretted it and wanted the families anyway?

Or have you ever wondered why EAxis thought it was necessary to add three completely useless subhoods to every neighbourhood just to add a handful of families?

Have you ever wanted to just add the damn stealth hood families, whenever and wherever, and then delete the stupid stealth hood afterwards?

WELL. Now you can.

Here is a package which contains one shopping district subhood for each EAxis stealth hood, each containing the playable families the original shipped with.

There is also one separate shopping district for the EAxis Garden Club, and one sepeate shopping district for the EAxis default strays and adoptable pets.

As a bonus, there is also a custom shopping district containing hobby mavens created by me. (One per hobby.) If you would like some that are dressed logically and aren’t complete randos, but don’t want to be bothered making your own for each neighbourhood.

These are all meant to be dropped in the OFB NeighborhoodTemplate folder and added ingame, like any other shopping district subhood template. Unlike other shopping districts, they’re meant to be deleted ingame immediately after adding, since the ‘hood itself is just a dummy for adding sims.

NOTE: To get the secret hobby lots and secret witch lots, you still need the Hobbies and Magic Stealth Hoods. Get empty ones free of sims: HERE.

NOTE 2: With these, you will NEVER need the Pets (P001), Seasons (G002) and BV (V001) Stealth Hoods ever again. EVER. Not the clean templates either. Learn how to permanently disable them: HERE.

NOTE 3: Adding any and all subhoods ingame partially corrupts the memories of added sims. Always run the Hood Checker on a neighbourhood after adding any subhoods to fix this.

Reblogging myself to ephasize that I consider these to REPLACE the clean stealth hood templates for my rereleases.

That means that I won’t rerelease the actual stealth hood templates. Use these instead.

Also, I forgot to mention this in the original post, but I made one noteable fix in these: Priya Ramaswami’s nose was based on a broken face template. It was only really very noticeable if she had sons with her nose, when they grew to adulthood their noses would suddenly be considerably more “distinctive” than when they were children. Anyway, it’s fixed now.

Reupload of Kat & Kim families coming later, and possibly an updated Viper Canyon (with Priya’s nose-fix).
