The funniest thing about this example in particular is straight men were constantly calling Luke all sorts of homophobic slurs because he was softer / more emotional / “whinier” than pinnacle of manly man manness Han Solo. So the fact that there’s now this huge out roar by the same straight men at the thought of Luke being gay is just… unbelievable. They’ll use us as insults, but the moment we try to take anything for ourselves, to be proud of, to represent us, it becomes a problem. Fuck them.
