Takane is unnecessarily relieved when she hears the knocks at her door. It wasn’t like she’d been expecting him to just keel over and die on his way over to her house, but the fact that something could happen is enough to make her worried.
With more speed than she’d ever admit she ran with, Takane runs to the door and pulls it open.
"Haruka! You’re late." It’s only by a bit, but still. Time is of the essence.
Or something.
It isn’t until she steps back to allow Haruka into the hallway and points him in the direction of her room that she realizes that this is the probably the first time they’ve seen each other out of their uniforms. What if he thinks I’m some sort of sloppy weirdo?! She had made sure to dress at least somewhat decently (not to impress him or anything, of course), but maybe he holds her to a higher standard…!
"Anyway…" She shakes her head and starts off towards her room. "All my schoolwork is in here… Geez! What kind of moron teacher makes his students teach each other?! That defeats his entire purpose!"
After muttering his quiet apologies for being late, Haruka steps in, trying (and failing) to not look around too much. Curiosity is almost too much to handle.
Her house is nice, he thinks. She looks cute out of her uniform, he thinks, too. He can't help wondering what she thinks of him, out of the usual oversized sweater, but quickly shakes the thought off. She probably doesn't think anything of it, at all.
Knowing Takane, she's probably not nearly as glad to have him there as he is to be visiting. She probably just wants this dumb tutoring session (that their teacher should be handling, not him) to end.
He's content enough, though. The task of teaching to a classmate would usually be an unpleasant one for anyone else, but Haruka is happy to help (and to spend time with Takane. there's always that).
Giving a content hum while he follows behind her, he shoves his hands in his pockets.
"It really does, doesn't it... sensei has always been pretty weird." It doesn't seem like it bothers him, though, because he says it in a pretty cheerful note. "But it's fine! The subject isn't really hard at all, and I'm sure Takane will be able to get it in no time if she tries."
