Dead blog for the time being

In short… my blog is just for fun. Funny observations, silly jokes, comparisons and analysis just because I like it. And… to express emotions. Sometimes I write short stories, but nothing major, I make summaries to fill in the gaps in the translations. And since I am reading several games at the time, my posts change from game to game pretty randomly. Again… it's just for FUN, mine and everyone else who wants to follow my example.

If I like fanfic, I make a repost with a hashtag: fanfic repost (only SFW)

I'm not a native speaker of either English or Japanese. I don't know Japanese at all, but I have my own ideas about how this language works, because I started learning Korean, and these languages have some similarities. Based on that, there may most likely be errors in my translations/posts. I use translation app (already three, to catch glimpses of meaning) and then I use a dictionary to check the mechanical translation, and if necessary, I check the JP Google to see if some structures might have a different meaning. My summaries are always full of my comments and jokes. If you prefer a clean translation, then you definitely won't like it. So… you have every right not to trust my translations. I do them so that others can familiarize themselves with the events and main routes. Not in detail, but in general. I don't have enough knowledge for more.

There are several people who do full translations, and I am very grateful to them for what they do. I suddenly realised that in my canon, Roger will call me "woman." No "little miss," nor "bird" or "robin"… nothing like that, you know… in an annoyed tone… "woman…" or in surprise "peculiar woman" or in a tired voice "crazy woman." Something like that.

And thus… almost all the boys will have different pet names for me.

Ally's jealousy

I remember this event very well. So happy it finally reached the EN server. Alfons is exceptionally cute here.

No, really... I can't express how much I love him. He's so cute! It's too much…

Oh, and I'm torn between which ending I like more. In the SE, I love how he deals with that guy (he deserves it). But in the PE, we see the letter Kate wrote… it's such a passionate love confession. And I love it too.

Actually, when I started reading Vivi's story, I felt slightly embarrassed… considering the content and the memories of the story I've been trying to finish writing for quite some time… but I noticed one interesting thing. Vivi… very rarely calls Kate by name in his mind. Ally, on the other hand… does it pretty often. He really thinks names are that important…

Some facts that weren't mentioned in the descriptions. Nothing major, just some private information. In case you'd like to know.

Nobunaga Likes sugar candy too much. Hideyoshi hides it from him, but Nobu always manages to find it – like a kid.

Hideyoshi Has a lot – and I'm not kidding – a lot of ex‑girlfriends. And they're still on good terms. He even writes them letters.

Mitsuhide Has a reputation as a heartbreaker. Women warned Mai not to fall in love with him, since he would most definitely break her heart.

Ieyasu Likes spicy food. Not just spicy, but super spicy. Masamune makes special dishes for him that no one else can eat, since it's too much.

Masamune Likes to cook, very much. He's extremely good at it and often feeds the Oda forces.

Mitsunari Hates carrots. He doesn't eat them even in his hypnotic state when he's reading. I don't know how he manages it... when I'm in that state, I'll eat anything without even realising it.

Ranmaru Is an idol of the Sengoku era. He has a lot of fans who absolutely adore him.

Keiji Is a passionate member of the poetry club. And he's extremely good at reciting. This guy has too many talents for one person…

Kenshin Has rabbits. As pets. This army of rabbits absolutely adore him and do as he orders them. Cute.

Shingen Has a hobby as a carpenter. He makes furniture. Although they don't mention it as often as they should. I find it impressive.

Yukimura Cares very much for Shingen, like a little brother, although they aren't related. He constantly checks on his sugar consumption. Shingen is extremely fond of sweets, and without Yuki, he'd probably eat only them.

Sasuke Is a fan‑boy of Ieyasu. Yes, he is. Every time he meets him, he tries to get an autograph… and wishes he had a camera.

Kanetsugu Is extremely smart and studious. He has a school in the city where he teaches children.

Yoshimoto Loves all forms of art. He not only loves to have it, but he also supports artists using his money and connections.

Kicho Was meant to be Nobunaga's wife. But… something didn't work out. So now we call him his "ex‑wife," although in this universe they were never married. In addition, Kicho is a very good businessman. He has a trading company.

Motonari... It's really hard to find something funny about him… He has big problems with trust. He doesn't eat anything that wasn't prepared by him... or by Mai in the later stages of his route.

Kennyo Is not as bad as he seems in other routes. He has a soft spot for animals – he saves and heals them.

Not much for the rest… since I've only read Rikyu's route:

Yoshiteru Is still a mystery to me. He doesn't talk much, but when he needs to, he can give very passionate speeches. He notices details that others don't pay attention to, but he might be totally blind to obvious things. Strange guy.

Hisahide... Hmm… Well, we could say he seems like a nanny to Yoshiteru. But the motivation behind his devotion is a mystery.

Saizo Is absolutely adorable and quite naive. Kambei quite often uses his naivety against him to tease him. I still want to see Saizo with braids. Why did they mention it and never show it?

Kambei... I would call him the Gilbert of Sengoku. He's constantly smiling and joking, but he puts totally different meaning behind his words and is extremely manipulative. But that's part of his charm, I guess.

Rikyu... I could say a lot about this guy. But I'll leave you with just one simple fact: he bakes sweets for his tea ceremonies himself, and they come in very bright colours. Which is considered revolutionary for the Sengoku era. The quality is also good. Even Yoshiteru sort of praised him.

I saw it a couple of times when I was preparing a post about fashion in the 19th century, but I didn't use the picture. Although the idea stuck in my head so much that I used it in my story (guess what Irina hides in her bustle). So I decided to make a post about it… and spent no less than an hour trying to find it again.

Rikyu's route trailer

I watched the translated version of his trailer.

I think it's softer compared to the original (at least as far as I remember). They're not deceiving, but the wording choice is rather… poetic. I got goosebumps, remembering everything they only hinted about. I'm really looking forward to reading it again… I wonder how different the impression will be this time.

Records of the Ashikaga Forces

I got the second EBC from this event. I was determined to get Rikyu, so Kanbei is just a surprise bonus. Okay, okay... I did a bit to get it, but when I see the goal is close… how can I stop?

They come with stories...

I'm not sure if I'll be able to collect all the fragments of this event. But, I'll try… it's a story about how these guys came together…

Anyway, this is going to be the first collection event I plan to record.

I've only read the first part, and it had two flashbacks. Meaning... in the prologue, we see the boys talking about something that happened "back then," and at the beginning of the first part, that "back then" happens (I think). Hisahide says, "The time has come," and we jump even further into the past (two months earlier). It's a rather odd way of narration, but I'm still curious...

Not regret per say but Kicho's route annoyed tf out of me and Masamune's just didn't do anything for me. I am painfully ambivalent towards him even after his route.

I don't really 'regret' reading any. But there are some routes that just didn't do it for me. Kicho, Motonari, keiji and honestly even Masamune (yes I'm still mad about chapter 4)

I can't say I regret it either. But after reading some routes, I started becoming less interested in the guys. It's not necessarily their fault... we just didn't match. Masamune, Hideyoshi… even Yoshimoto. Although I still think he's pretty, but… it was too depressing.

Or I liked a love rival in the story more, and felt very sad to see him sad. Shingen's route (Nobunaga), Sasuke's route (Yuki), Kicho's route (Mitsuhide).

Surprisingly, I liked Kennyo's story. I totally didn't expect Mai to be that… pushing. And it wasn't as bad as I expected. Although… he's also not my cup of tea.

Oh, I haven't read Ranmaru's route yet… or the sequels. So maybe there's something I would regret reading, but somehow I doubt it. Mai usually makes any story funny, and the boys are too loveable.

I don't read events in LoveBrush that often, since I still haven't finished the main routes and don't want to get spoiled. But this one called out to me. And when that happens, I – like any stupid moth – fly straight into the fire.

I'm glad to be a stupid moth. It's so damn good… I'm not surprised – all the stories I've read in this game are made with a lot of thought. But I still enjoy them way more than I expected.

My dear cousins look absolutely amazing. 

Lars reminds me of a concubine in a harem – too much jewellery – but he still looks pretty, as always. Ayn is just stunning. Black and red are his colours.

Actually, I noticed that even when I check the game's website... long time ago, the voices of characters in different worlds sound different. With Lars, it's not that obvious, but Ayn… damn… I never thought of him as hot before. He was a sweet, cute tsundere boy, but here…

The side characters are absolutely gorgeous. I hope they'll make cards of them – those simplistic, totally useless cards… but I want them. I really liked these characters.

There are two more faces in Ayn's story… but they didn't show them up close... only a little preview next to the text.

But it's not just the design that's good. The stories as well. We have two stories: one with Ayn – Patriarch, and another with Lars – Governor.

Very different worlds, with rich backstories. The stories are told from different perspectives: there's a VN story with our MC, letters, and even a puppet show with side characters. We need to read them in a certain order, so missing anything is simply impossible. And since we see everything, the worlds feel so big, as if they really are different planets.

In addition, both stories contain some pretty deep thoughts – and they set off fireworks inside my brain. I haven't been this excited in a very long time...

This is my first event with these characters from the Infinite Empire world, so I was extremely pleased to see a totally different Lars and Ayn. And their dynamic with the MC is so intense… so peculiar… I have a strong urge to finish reading the Frozen World (sorry, I'm bad with names) and dive into another world…

I really love this girl. She's extremely strong… in this story she was witty and slightly ironic. In Ayn's story, she's very strong and determined.

The thoughts jump randomly. I would rearrange the sentences… but it's still like poetry already… sad but hopeful.

In a world where your birth defines you, it's indeed hard to stand aside. No matter how you define yourself. It's a kind of depressing thought... But this whole story is extremely heavy.

And this is already about an act in itself: if a person pretends to be someone long enough, they become that someone. The real face behind the mask just becomes blurred. Who is this guy, indeed?

I like this thought... I've never had such vivid dreams myself, but I've seen movies about it. I suppose we all have.

The concept of how to break the cycle of enslavement – when the oppressed become the oppressors – is extremely strong here. And the story doesn't give an answer… more so, it says there is no way to break it. As I said, a very heavy story.
