If you think Adora never did anything wrong to Catra you need to take a good long look in the mirror and understand that sometimes you can genuinely, earnestly, love someone the best you possibly can AND STILL HURT THEM.

You can dismiss someone's pain when you're attempting to be kind. You can cross boundaries when you're trying to help. You can trigger a sense of betrayal by not seeing how bad the situation is until a stranger points it out for you. You can make a person feel abandoned when you have a safe avenue to leave a dangerous situation and they don't. You can make a person feel trapped when you try to convince them to try a method of escape that had never been an option until that moment. You can be dismissive of their fear of their abusers. You can genuinely approach a relationship with kindness and companionship and still cause pain that takes years to work through.
