         They had peaked so hard with Sgt. Pepper that England came and said, “We need another song. We need you guys to represent our country to the entire world.” What was it? 300 million? Some ridiculous, unheard of, unprecedented amount of people are going to view this. The universe is going to see this. Interestingly, it falls to John.          This is a beautiful thing about Paul McCartney that no one talks about, and it’s been washed over by the sands of time. Many, many decades have gone by, but Paul McCartney was always looking to showcase and spotlight his partner, John Lennon.          Lennon is sitting on a stool… ‘I am the center of the universe. Everyone is watching. You sit at my feet, and I’m going to tell you a story. I’ve got my partner. He’s my partner. I found him.’ They’re sitting there with their in-jokes, they’re laughing, and loving each other. (…) They are, and John especially, just so unbelievably cool and gorgeous. He’s so casual.
