listen to me, this is so so important: you've gotta get used to really giving it your 60% as a default. like don't half-ass it necessarily but try not to go over 70% or so of an ass. you'll feel better and live a happier more fulfilled life, and on the rare occasions where you do need to lock the fuck in you'll be able to pull off bullshit that the sad miserable wretches giving it their 100% can never dream off, because they're busy draining themselves dry and you have energy reserves to spare.

shout out to people who's family isnt entirely bad or entirely good, but something in between and you dont know how to feel about them. you feel angry but you also feel guilty, because you know they genuinely love and care about you, but sometimes they show it in a way you know its not okay. your feelings are valid, your anger and sadness and grief are valid, and you dont have to prove this to no one. bigger shout out to those with memory issues who know something isnt right but can't recall all of the bad events, only the feelings, which only increases the guilt.

My fellow Tumblr denizens may be confused by this image, but trust and believe that the chiveposting that has been happening is in a chef/back-of-house subreddit and everyone has been so so loving and supportive (for line cooks) of this fellow who started it all by wanting to improve their knife skills. He is taking it all in good humor, the edits with the airplanes crashing into "towers" (wrong size long chives) have been consistently funny, and the mod comments of "we WILL continue chiveposting despite the haters of repetitive content bc We Like It" have been a delight. He was a few hours later than he normally posts today and the subreddit was in an uproar bc they feared something had happened to him, but thankfully he uodated with the above image and the shitposting hit the algorithm so hard it was briefly one of the top posts.

Please understand, we love the chive man. His sisyphusian attempts, which are never perfect, gives him an excuse to practice every day and his efforts are rewarded with updoots (high praise on a critical af platform)

Some day he might get bored and not post. Until then, chive on.
