Anankin using Padmé as an excuse to push his agenda for power is way too real for science fiction lmao

Me: Ewww, like what for
One more Cdrama called Blossom, here we go again
Joanna Karpowicz — Anubis in Twin Peaks III (acrylic, canvas, 2024)
I've just started reading the Lothlorien chapter and all the gold trees, references of an ancient world, Eastern dialect and names like Rumil and Hadir makes me think how it's so Arab or Persian coded (so far). Also, I know that the idea of a paradise in Persian myths (or Islam in general I think) is also supposed to be a garden (the emphasis is on flowers so it's a little different than Eden) and that also checks out!
Saw this on Insta lmaooooo I'm dead
You got to commend Sydney for her insane levels of patience towards Richie after he refused to cancel any overbookings and then came to her, raving about metaphysical love all the while very real and PHYSICAL ingredients were dwindling into thin air
I think the scariest curveball was Carmy's mom walking in during peak crisis and I could just feel all the million possibilities of family dysfunction through the screen.
Btw did y'all realise that coke ribs was most certainly a coca-cola ad placement lol. God i hate capitalists. Anyway boycott coke
Jeremy is ON THIS SHIP with us.
Not me putting off watching Obsession cz I've already watched that Supernatural episode
The Bear S5 reads like a video game where the writers decided: "let's throw as many curve balls as possible in a span of 7 episodes" and it gave me caffeine-jitters-anxiety. Phenomenal.
I love that The Bear starts off with somewhat of a plot of talented-suffering-artist who must go overboard to be successful --which is sort of also glorified in other media and pop culture. Cue: movies such as Whiplash. But the conclusion of the Bear felt like an ode to working together, with people and as a team (which is such a cool communist development ngl lol). But this resonates so much with our current culture where we're starting to realise that success is no longer about meritocracy and working hard, and so we must navigate in a world where we should value people and relationships a bit more. And that's really eye-opening.
I just finished the final season of The Bear and I want to tear up because if Carmy had somebody like Syd in the early days of his career, maybe he would've still loved his job. Maybe he wouldn't have been as good as he was but he would've really loved cooking and I think that's so sad.
i see this as an absolute win
This is my Roman(ce) Empire
Gandalf remarking that he's met his true challenger and it's an entire big ass demon from hell, almost 50 times his height and with a wingspan of a giant hallway
I love that Gandalf's potential last words could've been, "Fly, you fools."
