Focus On Making Yourself The Person You Strive To Be By Your Actions, And Use Your Thoughts As Tools. Not As A Place To Live
Over Thinking 🙃
Thoughts. They’re great. They lead us to be creative. To create. To give. To express our inner selves. To love. To move. To be alive.
But thoughts are just thoughts until expressed, you know¿
They are not seen by others.
They also are not something you can see, or prove.
They can even happen when we don’t want them to.
That’s sometimes the biggest fear of what makes a thought, a thought. The fact that it’s uncontrollable. But there is also the fact that we have the ability to decide what we want to do with them.
Actions make us the people we are, not our thoughts.
Focus on the things you do. The things you say. The places you go, and the real things that matter.
Focus on making yourself the person you strive to be by your actions, and use your thoughts as tools. Not as a place to live
Here are some helpful links and sites to help you cope with dissociation. It is by no means complete, because that wouldn’t be possible, but if you know something that you think should really be in this post, feel free to message me. :)

Reminder
It’s okay. It’s okay to not feel like yourself sometimes. It’s okay to feel like things may not be real. It’s okay to feel confused about time. It’s okay to feel disconnected from yourself or reality. It’s okay to feel all that, but I have to remind you that those are just feelings. It’s real. You’re real.
You are safe. You are not in immediate danger. I know.. Your body tells you otherwise. You can’t breath right now. Your pupils are dilated Things aren’t crisp like they were before You feel off. I know. But you’ve felt this way before, and you are still here. They are emotions. Anxiety. A chemical in your brain that cause actual symptoms to form. But guess what? You’re alive. And you’ve been alive. This didn’t kill you before And it won’t kill you now. This chemical in your brain causes you to feel in immediate danger. Life or Death survival kicks in, and it does a lot of things to distort reality awhile. But if anything, don’t fear an anxiety attack. It’s a normal human sensation to feel emotions. You are just experiencing an overload of them. Stay strong. Stay loving. Stay in the moment friend.
Derealization, Make Yourself Aware
Make yourself aware of triggers. Realize it can be flared up. Even In a constant state, I have discovered certain situations I find myself bored or uninvolved in, can really intensify my symptoms. After all, I think of Derealization as an emergency deploy. An escape. Something that naturally happens in your brain to protect itself from a current situation or emotion to avoid damage. It removes you from it mentally And for me, continuing to be in a situation that is unappealing to me, furthers my mind to want to remove itself. Know when you are getting worsened symptoms aside from underlying ones, and change your surroundings. Change the topic. Change your clothes. Put cold water on your hands, your face. Something, Anything to bring you back to the moment. To your life. Do it because you know you deserve to live the present moment. In your present life. The one you have a choice in
