My pokemon from a Soulsilver journey that I completed like... yesterday. And by Completed, I mean I beat Red. After the victory I basically used the motivation to get back into drawing. And I really like how this came out.

Anyway... It's a fun game! But... also a very slow pacing wise. Anyway more thoughts under the brake for those interested.

Curry (Typhlosion) - I usually don't like to use fire starters simply because of how they tend to outshine many other pokemon... However I also wasn't sure what else to pick and since my last playthrough was with a chickorita... and ended with me stalled at the elite 4. I simply picked this guy. And he made me really like Typhlosion. A pokemon with actual strategy in how to use it (Because of Blast Burn and Eruption)? Count me in!

Cushion (Quagsire) - I picked this one simply to try it out. Quagsire is a fan favourite and it paired well with Curry and had tons of Hm compatability! Even if it wasn't the most powerful member of the team metronome and good bulk + awesome type is a heck of a boost.

Eggbert (Kantonian Exeggutor) - I had long wanted to use this one since you can find it in headbutt trees. But I always had a grass type at that point... Not this time though! I taught it Solarbeam immediately and thus was born one of my first ever Sunny Day Sweepers. It unfortunatly only rarely got to give that sunlight to Curry like I originally planned. But hey It won against lance for me so... I won't complain about my beautiful buddies!

Teehee (Sudowoodo) - I have always loved rock types. I have always wanted to actually use Sudowoodo. Now I got the chance and WOW. Teehee tanked so many Gyarados Aqua Tails to the face. I also always assumed that Sturdy was obviously the better of it's two abilities (Once it had been buffed in the following generation) But damn if it isn't nice to use Wood Hammer with no blowback. Five stars, would recommend sudowoodo any day of the week.

Billy (Electrode) - There's always been something cool to me about the trade in Olivine. So this time I decided to do it! Since I had access to thunderbolt anyhow, and at the moment I felt like this team needed more speed. Anyway Billy was very fun to use and Took care of a lot of enemies. I also taught it Signal Beam from the Battle Frontier so... I got to fight a frontier brain for the first time in my life!

Magic (Honchkrow) - I have liked Murkrow a lot, but once again, never used one. So since the safari zone had them. And I needed a pokemon to use fly, I thought, "why not use a dark type in Johto." I know crazy idea right? Anyway it did a lot even as a Murkrow.

The Scarfruit stands still in the moons glow. With it's long journey now complete it fully opens the slits on its fruit and awaits the coming sandstorm.

Scarfruit are the reproductive life stage of the Waterhump plant. Once the waterhump's fruit has matured the pseudo-tentacles on the fruits stem begin to twist the woody stem until it breaks off. From there the fruit begins to clamber onwards to new horizons, completing it's transformation into an immature Scarfruit.

What separates a mature fruit from its immature form is the amount of water contained in the fruit. As when a scarfruit starts it's journey it's stem is on the top of it's body, while the fruit hangs below due to the weight of the aforementioned water within.

As the water slowly evaporates and is consumed by the scarfruit to fuel its travel. It becomes light enough to flip the scarfuit over. At that point the fruit is considered mature and the fruits journey almost complete.

The scarfruit starts off with numerous appendages which it can snap off to loose to predators and avoid getting stuck in tight crevices. They do not grow back as this is a one way trip for the fruit.

This particular Scarfruit is accompanied by a pair of Blimpleafs, which are hitching a ride on it. The scarfuit doesn't even notice them due to their light nature and thus the drifters are able to relax in the shade without disturbance. Though it seems for these two to be fatal mistake, as they now desperately cling to the scarfruit for protection from the incoming sandstorm.

However this sandstorm is exactly what the scarfuit is waiting for. As this craggy outcropping of rock is where it hopes to be buried and broken open by the sand. This is why it has opened its slits and left only a thin membrane exposed between its insides and the cold night air. The seeds it has carried within will hopefully be able to germinate in its remains.

A little Drawing for the first day of Spectember. Since I really do love speculative evolution stuff despite my art style not being the best for it.

Really love thinking about plants in specbio settings. Because you can really take something that is so familiar but really twist it into something very unfamiliar.

Mega Luvdisc!

Blurb: The Power of mega Evolution causes Luvdisc's body to begin producing and discarding scales at an extreme rate. Because of the strain mega evolution places on Luvdisc's body it looses the ability to focus on any one thing for extended periods of time.

Just wanted to something silly today. Though I don't know if this mega evolution would just end up being a worse Azumarill. At first I was thinking about giving it Protean but most pokemon with Protean and Libero have wide move pools. Another idea I had was Moody but I dunno if that would have been any better.

The Water Fairy typing fits with the theme of love being a strong emotion but I was thinking that it might also have worked as a Water dragon type. Since Heart Scales are also produce by the Jangmo-o line.

Was just dooling and these two appeared on my canvas. Lore under the cut.

Shrubbish, the Garden Weed fakemon. (Grass type)

This fakemon requires large amounts of nutrients to grow. So while it used to live in forests, it has become ever more common in gardens, where it consumes soil meant for other plants with it's thickly bundled roots.

Gargrove, The Soil Hoarder fakemon. (Grass/Ground type)

After evolution it's roots form into a elastic trunk like mass which can only absorb nutrients from the inside. Because of this Gargrove is always searching for extremely nutritious soils to scoop into it's body using its vines.

Applin Fakemon Evolutions

Had a flash of inspiration and had to go through with it. Not sure what types Boipplin and Brewple would be, but... I still think they turned out pretty good!

Dex entries & abilities:

Boipplin the Dissolving fakemon.

Unlike it's cousin Dipplin, the poison in it's apple is too toxic to allow more than one wyrm live inside it. The sole wyrm grows larger because of this.

Boipplin is slowly consuming the apple it lives in. The toxic combination of its stomach acids and the poison in the apple make it beyond unappetizing for predators.

Abilities: Gooey, Stench. Hidden Ability: Flare Boost.

Brewple The Brewing fakemon.

After evolution it's body and the apple become one. Together they form a cauldron that Brewple uses to brew the chemicals seen nowhere else.

Brewple's fumes have rendered it nearly blind. While usually a solitary fakemon, occasionally you may find a coven of Brewple living in close proximity.

Abilities: Contamination*, Stench. Hidden Ability: Flare Boost.

*While a fakemon with Contamination is on the field. Consuming a berry will also poison the eater, after the effects of the berry have been applied.

Feeling Rejuvenated.

I didn't draw my team this time mainly because of a lack of motivation. However I might still do it... someday.

I do still adore all of these goobers so much. Also this team ended up being like weirdly competent? Like none of these are specifically bad pokemon but... each of them did solo one or more big fights (Shout out to Ranbow for helping to clear most boss pokemon) All of these guys are silly.

Rejuvenation was a lot. A lot of cool stuff but still just very full of plot points. For reference I played version 13.5.6.

Anyway! Onward to desolation! I hope it will be a jolly good non-scaring time!

The champion used rest.

I recently beat pokemon Reborn, which is a fantastic fangame you should check out if you haven't before. I desperately wanted to draw my darling team who made it through this terribly difficult journey with me. I also head cannoned my character as someone who was very tired through the journey and now that their job has been completed can finally rest in the nightclub.

Hopefully with all his friends and others near him he can finally dream in peace.
