I'm of the mind that Shi Qingxuan would have the will to ascend a second time as a god especially one for the people even more so as he thrived with other beggars and was still able to gather them to help Xie Lian. I think there is just something very strong in him as a person even without Shi Wudu manipulating their fates. He is still able to persevere just fine and able to come back stronger despite his own sadness. And I think that's pretty great despite it all he wasn't broken down.

the main issue with ao3 higher ups being zionist, is. zionism, mixed with, genocide denial, support of colonialism and racism. obviously horrible and i think everyone can agree on that and i dont have to elaborate much further than that. this is the main issue people should be talking about

the second issue i would like to bring up is its a site that is known to many as a place to safely write about things without fear of censorship. and now that is very much being pulled out from people who support Palestine. if they think that removing anti-colonialist and anti-racist beliefs is reasonable, you can very clearly see that anything is fair game for removal and censorship (if you need me to make this about you, queer content is a possible target). its a huge betrayal of trust of the community that they have built and the status they have.

If you haven't heard, otw (in other words ao3) have forced a volunteer to resign because they had "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" as their status on messaging platfrom slack, which otw use for communications.

They were denying that Israel is an apartheid settler state or that the genocide in Gaza is even happening.

This is unforgivable in my opinion, and I have sent a message to otw through their official contact form here, and I suggest you do the same. Below you'll see my message as well, in case you want to copy and paste, or just use it as a template of sorts.

I urge you also not to donate to otw anymore, unless the zionist volunteers and members of otw are removed from their positions and banned from otw.

Just a reminder this isnt the first time ao3 has mistreated its volunteers.

It has blamed an ex volunteer for the mass CSEM attack with 0 proof instead of taking accountability for the mistreatment of its Policy and Abuser volunteers. OTW has also mentioned before involving AI in fanfics and ao3. Then there's the racism in the board and how they even allowed a republican to almost join the board.

The users dont even have a say on who gets to be the committee chair. It's all internally discussed.

OTW NEEDS to be held responsible at some point. And this should be the limit. Idk how some can excuse the others but god at least put this as your limit

Friendly reminder that the suffering and torment Xie Lian experienced actually made him LESS kind, and the lessons he learned as a result of that pain were that human life is meaningless and compassion is worthless and people don't deserve your help or care or love for them. Xie Lian had to backtrack and reject these new lessons in favor of the old ones he had already known in order to return to being kind.

Xie Lian losing everything he loved and knew, being stripped of his power, autonomy, safety, and community, and being ridiculed and humiliated, did not teach him anything worth knowing. He did not learn any valuable or important lessons from it. In fact, he needed to consciously decide that he wasn't going to let it change him and work to go back to the person he was before all that shit happened in order to avoid turning evil.
