One thing I love about Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes is just the fact that he's pretty.

Playing an aromatic asexual character who in the stories and official Padget illustrations was not exactly ugly per se but sort of gawky looking and odd in a way that would only appeal to certain people on sporadic occasions.

But Brett's Holmes? Pretty. And unattached. No wonder half of London's eligible young ladies are ready to climb him like squirrels up a pecan tree. Can you really fault them for the crime of having good taste?

But Holmes just wants his puzzles dammit, not hot dates.

"Watson, why are all these people constantly flirting with me? I don't want it 🥺"

"Well, Holmes, you're pretty. Sorry old boy, it's just a fact."

One must bear one's burdens in life. Alas.

Ok, in the last episode of granada Holmes, so I think I can now judge a suspicion I had:

I swear, every time someone says about Jeremy Brett during the last season/s of Sherlock Holmes how far declined his health (fair) & appearance (I will fucking eat you!) were, I turn into a vengeful demon.

1. he is LITERALLY HOT, shut up! 2. am I blind or is the only major visual difference that his health condition/medication caused a little weight gain & water retention… its just fat shaming again isn't it? This man is literally still acting his heart out while needing an oxygen mask between takes & suffering from cardiological problems that are about to kill him! And all you can think of is add to the very valid & sad concern about his health, the rude & highly biased complained about how that caused him to put on a tiny amount of weight?!!🤯
