   “Hey, that’s super cute!” The whole name thing, she meant. “My mama kinda did something like that. Y’know, when I was born, and all. At the naming portion of the whole gig. You know what I mean.” Even Willow hardly knew what she meant – slumped over El’s back, feeling woozy. Not unusual, though. “No, no. Nah, they like – they like probably, like, can’t help me, and all. And if I’m bleeding, somewhere, probably can’t do that thing. The uh. The touching. Oof.” A wave of dizziness spurred her to Blink out – reappeared not against El, but crumpled on the floor. “Ow.” 

El had to stop meeting the strangest people. First it was adopting Pearl (who was human enough until she started morphing her face to have distinct facial features of the people around her), and now it was this... disappearing stranger who was damn good at stealing things.

“I think at this point it can’t hurt to get a doctor.” El ruffled Pearl’s hair and pushed her towards the ship, “We’ve got a good doctor on board. Can you make it to the ship? Or should be bring Marge out here.”
