Having the woman around was sometimes strange, but he wrote that off as just questioning about the different aspects between her and his father. Both were, or had been Jinchūriki, and with it a great deal of power was within them… And yet there was still gentleness. Fū had hers out in front of her much like the Hokage, but his father had a different approach. Shinki still did not know how he felt about Fū most of the time but he would confess she was the closest woman in his life outside of Yodo, and Temari. But as far as a presence went, Fū could beat the latter. Even if she came through ‘holiday’, he was silently thankful.
Legs would be crossed as he looked at the food she had brought, a thanks still awkwardly on his lips. His hand carefully bounced the treat in thought, before he bit into it to show that he was willing to eat instead of focusing on training. Sometimes it became self destructive, but he was sure that Fū knew that already. “It’s been a while since we were able to train, I do hope Shibuki-sama isn’t missing you so badly. But learning from you is always exciting… Perhaps you can stay a little longer, this time.”
her outgoing, rambunctious nature had calmed down some in the past years, from her responsibilities in her home village and the need to act out for attention dampened. she was no longer the teenager who disregarded her own safety and ideals in the pursuit of friends -- she had friends, the best ones she could have, and they accepted her for who she was. it warmed her heart. the main facets of her personality remained though, her gentleness, her unending love. she connected easily to people, and she had taken to shinki like a fish to water. he was a quiet boy, and he’d taken after gaara some in ways that were noticeable if someone caught him in conversation -- when fu had first arrived in suna, the boy probably wouldn’t have been able to get a word in edgeways, with her hyperactive nature. now, they had melded into a friendship.
❝ maa, shibuki - chan loves it when i come here, says it gives him time to recuperate from the headaches. ❞ waving her hand, fu laughed before looking over, her smile taking a more tender edge. gaara was always saying, in his polite and awkward way, that she was welcome to stay for as long as she wished. maybe it wouldn’t hurt to stay longer this time. hand resting on his shoulder, a nod follows. ❝ sure! you’ll have time to show me some of your best moves. isn’t it the chuunin exams soon? ❞
