i think the main reason i'm genuinely so drawn to shifting is because it makes me soft. it allows me to let my guard down in another universe. something that would most likely never happen to me in this reality. this place genuinely makes me feel like i have to be this big strong giant 24/7 and it's exhausting. i finally have a chance to have a home with the people i actually want to build a home with. aside from the bonuses that i could be a fairy, a mermaid, a secret agent, etc. (with all my drs), i could just feel human again. as corny as it sounds, that's genuinely one of the most magical aspects of shifting in my opinion. it makes us feel so alive again. it just makes us feel again.
