Y’know those like preserving glasses? I’m probably gonna make those the source of resurrection. You’d upload your memory and personality to it, and if brought your dead body, it’ll use the magi in you to ground your consciousness and put you back together.
I’m also thinking about this in a game setting, where they contain some sort of loot that you could destroy at the cost of a save spot.
I tried doing a bit of an experimental style, to get some more texturing and a bit of a rainworld style feel.

Jet is an ex-kittypet, abandoned by her twolegs for being sick. You can expand on her backstory in any way you want (not required though)
I don't mind going slightly "off-model" from her sprite, just try not to change it too drastically (ex: making her light brown or something)
Jet joins the clan at 10 moons old I forgot to mention that on the sprite pic :P
No ai/tracing/stealing but that should be obvious :P
I will say, Jet joins the clan on moon 22 which is probably not going to happen any time soon story wise, that's why the contest goes for like a month and a half
If it makes you feel any better she does have one of the more important side plots (mostly because she was one of my fav characters :3c)
Saw your map for your worldbuilding project and it looks so cool! Are those mountain ranges connecting the middle continent to the one in the upper right? I also love the huge lake and the waterfall, the mountain(?) from which the water falls from looks interesting!
Thank you!, The mountainsare conecting the two contients. They're actually making oceanpassage difficult, as you need to get into a caveish thing, to progress that way (the way that the mountains are blocking). I've tried making all the mountains be conected in some way, since that's how it works irl.
(also, the lake in middle of the middle continent is lowered which is why there are waterfalls, but everything else comes from mountains)
These are some of my characters for my worldbuildings.
They are from left to right (I hope, just googled left lolz. The first one is the 5th tallest):
Firest - ex of Tasmiin, likes roleplaying and acting, powerful mage who uses his (?) magic to levitate almost always. My siblings favourite.
Ralfe - the first character who got an irl fan (one of my friends), spy for Tasmiin and her group, she ends up dying (killed by Tasmiin? I dunno, I choose that before I made her evil and Rafle’s boss) and gets brought back to life and is pretty unhappy about it.
Apir - my sona’ish (but the events that they experienced don’t really match my life, so not fully?) they hang out w Ralfe, Peilral and Ciskinn (and Tasmiin in previous versions before I turned her evil). They’ve either died before the story start or some other shit has happened to them.
Ciskinn - in previous versions she and Tasmiin were girlfriends, but now Tasmiin is no longer in her friend group, so I dunno? She’s pretty shy/introverted.
Peilral - religious, was previously friends with Apir, but became a bit of a bully, and they drifted apart. Peilral is pretty sad that they probably won’t do their plans of becoming mages together.
Tasmiin - in previous versions I really tried making them more sympathetic, but I just gave up and hit them with the Evil Beam™️ She is against resurrection and is the leader of an industrial group. She also has these really sick metal wings, which can grow big and consume people. (I animated it bellow)
Tuilore - originally named Tailor, but then I realised that was a word and renamed him (?). He’s the adoptive dad of Kalju and very protective of her. He is a mage and uses his magic to help power the machines that Tasmiin’s group (society?) uses. His right (?) arm is a prosthetic. (Now that I think of it, he actually has some very deep lore, that I’d probably need some more space to tell)
Kajlu - I don’t really have a lot about him, but he’s going to die and get resurrected. She was also originally the (decoy of the?) evil leader of the plot back when I was planning for the plot to be basicly Apir committing murder.
Cass (unhappy w the name) - gives me massive pirate energy, I don’t really have a 100% plot idea of them, but they’re gonna suffer lots. They’re close/childhood friends with an unshown character called Tres. They’ll probably be affiliated with Burrish.
Burrish/Dowbpour/Edwitt/??? - They’re the other evil of the story. I am basing this character on my own roleplay character, so that’ll be fun. While Tasmiin is a lot against resurrection, Burrish is the complete opposite. They’re a mage in resurrection who’s mad that it’s is getting banned. They’re also a traveler and fisher.
