not exactly sure how to start this, but here we go!

my main blog is @mossmarsh and i decided to start a clangen blog -- i saw all these other wc artists do it and it looks like a blast. i had a very small one a while ago, but i burned out very quickly. here's hoping that doesn't happen again!

the artstyle will probably vary a bit, and i'm not going to be focusing on art-heavy updates unfortunately. i hope to build some lore around shineclan, but i will probably focus the most on interpersonal relationships.

the profile picture will change with each leader! the current leader is our first, the founder Harestar.

if the clan starts to exceed one page, i'll start doing death rolls. :( sorry has to be done

• allow cats to breed with cats that aren't their mates

• same sex breeding off

• increase same sex adoption

• no kits with unknown second parent

• no romantic interactions with former mentors

• no romantic interactions between first cousins

• allow leaders to automatically choose a new deputy

• allow warriors and elders to choose to become mediators

• expanded mode

• hunger mechanics disabled

I'm not allowing the unknown second parent because i think it just gives the clan too many kits to work with. i also think this encourages the members to mate amongst themselves, which i generally prefer in my clans.

Dustlight is developing a crush on Vixenwander after he helped her through her grief over Tempestmeadow.

Meanwhile, Vixenwander has gotten a runny nose.

Harestar feels back to normal after birthing her litter, and recovers from her grief.

Dustlight watches helplessly as the dog messily devours her clanmate. Even weeks later, she hasn't processed it.

Dustlight emotionlessly drags Tempestmeadow's remains back to the camp once the dog has gone so that ShineClan can pay their respect. His blood stains the previously pristine snow.

Bear, a kittypet who has always been curious about the clans, is brought back to camp by Vixenwander and Dreamflight. The three toms are shocked when they return and find the clan huddled around camp in grief. Bear is moved by the clan's unity and companionship in difficult times and decides to join.

Moon 10

A new litter is born -- welcome Brackenkit, Robinkit, Lynxkit, and Mistlekit!

Dreampaw graduates, and is now named Dreamflight!

He learned from Vixenwander to use words over claws, and became better at storytelling. He graduated at 11 moons old, and was honored for his wit.

The weather has recently been cold and dry, and Partridgefeather's pawpads have become cracked.

Dreampaw meets a kea bird on patrol!

Partridgefeather's bruises have healed.

Harestar thinks she'll have a large litter, and moves into the nursery. She's pleased about the litter size.

Vixenwander has recovered from greencough!

Tempestmeadow thinks that Dustlight's doing a terrible job as deputy, but at the same time doesn't think he could do better.

While on border patrol, Dustlight meets a loner! He seems interested in joining ShineClan, but changes his mind when he hears more about clan life. Dustlight seems disappointed.

Moon 8

Harestar is concerned about what legacy she would leave behind if she passed away. Havenspark talks her through it.

He also noticed that she's been eating more than usual and often reporting cramps -- congrats on your upcoming litter, Harestar! She feels assured of her legacy because of the news.

Partridgefeather and Tempestmeadow were caught in a minor mudslide -- Pardridgefeather was lucky enough to escape with some minor bruising, but Tempestmeadow's tail was badly injured.

Dustlight has been cured of greencough, but she still insists on regularly visiting Vixenwander in the medicine den, who's still ill. He appreciates the company.

Moon 7

Dustlight and Vixenwander both contract greencough. they turn to each other for support. Dustlight has been stressed about her deputy duties lately, and Vixenwander is a good listener.

Harestar and Tempestmeadow temporarily take over Vixenwander's mentor duties, and Dreampaw is praised for his focus and enthusiasm during the training session.

Dreampaw has a nightmare about a Twoleg trap.

just bc i'm not sharing the doc (too much information and i just wanna use it to distribute info abt characters throughout the comic) i might still reveal stuff abt a character's backstory if they're asked! depends on the character though some might not want to talk abt it

Moon 6

Dreampaw seems detached on today's patrol with his mentor -- but when Vixenwander tries to ask if there's something he can help with, Dreampaw shuts down and asks to keep the patrol focused on training.

Havenspark complains to Harestar that Tempestmeadow never does anything helpful. He overhears, and finds it to only confirm his fears of inadequacy.
