Today's prompt was: Your favourite character(s) in Halloween costumes
Oh boy, what a ride, what a month what almost half a year huh?
Tbh, I made this on day 9 because I couldn't wait, so I don't know if I actually managed to keep up with inktober, but I put extra much effort into this, so would be a shame not to post it.
This is like a part two, to my Fun Gang Halloween dress-up from last year, which is also where the prompt came from (since tomorrow's Deltarune's birthday, I wanted to have tomorrow's prompt more corely deltarune related).
Not only is the Gang dressed up as Idols this year, each of their costumes is also their respective "running gag" I came up with for them in and around this new era of Deltarune.
Ralsei, once again, is dressed up as Cure Zukyoon, since I paired him up with Purirun a lot, and made him a (Kimi to Idol) Precure fan in general
Susie is Hatsune Miku (despite that she's not wearing a skirt, even if you can't see it). This running gag originated from one comic I saw where Susie, in contrast to Noelle's expectation, was listening to Popipo, and when one day I was listening to a Vocaloid cover of Rude Buster/ Vs. Susie, I decided that it actually would be kinda funny/ sweet if Miku was Susie's comfort character. The chances of Susie canonically liking Miku are low, but never zero (Temmie likes Vocaloid, and Susie, and appearently we mainly have the annoying dog today bacause of her) !
Lastly, the Enby, the myth, the Legend: Style Savvy Kris. I put together a good chunk of Style Savvy Kris outfits shortly before the new chapters came out, and I'm honestly really happy how well this idea was recieved. I mean I really started with this during the Kris skirt/ dress trend, and their desire for more fashion is hinted at in the game to some degree, so I guess it was just the right timing. I gave them Yolanda's (I think that's her name in english, in german she's called Luna) special stage outfit, because I just think it fits their taste best, I don't think there are that many similarities between the characters, outside a vague shared theme of feeling like you're being controlled, and the colour blue. Something special about Kris here is also that firstly I didn't draw their eye, so sorry if it looks a little weird, but I've realized this Chapter era that the more Kris shows us who they are as a person, the more the fandom actually started drawing their eyes, and I honestly think this is a pretty beautiful reflection of us accepting their own personhood and autonomy. So I decidet to in turn reflect that by drawing the one eye I always show when I draw Kris as well.
