So I don’t drive and I was telling my therapist about how big of a source of shame and guilt this is for me because of 1. The burden it puts on my loved ones and also 2. Not feeling like a real competent and independent adult bc I can’t drive. And she told me that so many people in my age range don’t drive and she’s never heard any of them talk about shame and guilt surrounding it. Which is crazy to me. It makes sense for cities with robust public transit, but that’s not the case where I live. People are just taking ubers constantly??? Like to work and shit?
