"i'm not---i still want to--but i just thought that you wouldn't want---" he wasn't finding the right words to say here, hands finding it troublesome to stay at his sides. he never thought that paulie would come around like this. his eyes widened when he glanced at the other on the verge of tears. the sliver of hope rose in the man as he watched paulie light up the cigar. it was when paulie spoke about how he was going to make his own decision over this whole matter, that even though he had given the man a way out of this, out of them being in a relationship again--it would seem that there was still a chance for them.
tonight had been a rather jarring conversation between the both of them, something that had opened his eyes a bit more to just how much the both of them still meant to one another. the question that paulie gave did start some cogs in his own mind. what exactly where they going to do with all of this information?
"well i for one don't want to be punched.." he started, maybe not the best way to answer him, but he was being honest. "maybe it would be best to end tonight with what was said," and boy was there a lot that was said between them. he was glad that they spoke though, airing out all the dirty laundry--it was a good start. "you say that you're wishing this conversation never happened, but if i'm being honest, i'm glad that it did."
it gave him a reason to fight for them. and when he has something to fight for, there's nothing that will stop him.
