إياك ان تنسى انك في يوم من الأيام كنت تدعو الله
never forget that there was a day you were praying to Allah,
في الاشياء التي تمتلكها الآن
for the things you have now.

A couple years ago we were learning the names of Allah and one of the lessons that was transformative for me was about the name al-Alim, the All-Knowing. Obviously we know that God has knowledge of all things. He knows what happened, what is happening, and what will happen etc. But the lesson went on: Allah being al-Alim means He also knows every single thing that didn’t happen, or that could have happened. In other words, He knows exactly what the outcome would have been if something happened differently. Yet, despite having all knowledge of every single possibility, He allowed things to happen exactly the way they did. So in His decision I find comfort.

They are negligent regarding the time.
They are negligent regarding the pillars.
They are negligent regarding having Khushū'."

It’s been 7 years since I started wearing hijab. Alhamdulillah.
كن لطيفا مع الآخرين ، روح عزيزة.
Be kind to others, dear soul.
وقبل أن تكون لطيفة لنفسك.
And before that be kind to yourself.

Never complain about how Allāh created you. You look beautiful to souls that are chosen to love you. Accept it with gratitude.
