[Y/N] huffed and untangled herself from her cross-legged studying position as her bones creaked from the sudden movement. She had been studying for three hours on this particular hot Saturday afternoon, finally trying to catch up on her homework that had collected throughout the week while simultaneously trying to study for her education final. The 19-year-old girl sighed, reaching upwards and stretching, feeling the cold, air-conditioned air hit her legs as the blanket fell from around her waist. She was wearing one of Sugawara’s shirts, her boyfriend of a year ‘unintentionally’ having left it tucked under her pillow smelling of his cologne a couple months prior. It fell to her mid-thigh, grey athletic shorts barely showing underneath. Her hair was up in a messy bun, tied back haphazardly as she furiously began reading her textbook earlier that day. [Y/N] lazily made her way to the door, muttering empty threats about having been disturbed. Sugawara stood outside her door, a blue tank top hanging loosely off his chest and black gym shorts on his waist. He quickly put his phone in his pocket, smiling widely at [Y/N] as he gently pushed past her and took his street shoes off in the entryway. “Koushi, what are you doing?” “Ouch, [Y/N], happy to see me?” [Y/N] rolls her eyes, shutting the door behind him. The A/C clicked on above them, trying to regulate the cool 65(F) degrees inside the apartment after the warm gust of air blew in from the front door. “I’m just in the middle of studying right now,” [Y/N] says as she walks back toward her room, leaving Sugawara to shuffle behind her in socks. “I know, that’s why I want to take you out!” he exclaims, gently grasping her hand and intertwining their fingers. [Y/N] turns to look at the pretty (almost) 20-year-old before her, a small wrinkle forming between her eyebrows. “Koushi, please, you know how important this test is, it’s my final for the semester!” Sugawara takes both of her hands in his, looking into her [e/c] eyes intensely. “You’ve studied for this final for over, like, twenty hours this week alone, while working part time at the shop and visiting me every night. You need to take a break.” [Y/N] opened her mouth to interject, but Sugawara put his hand on her cheek, kissing her lips lightly. “I need you to take a break. If you don’t do it for yourself, do it for me,” his voice fell to a whisper, resting his forehead against hers without breaking eye contact. [Y/N] studied him for a moment before sighing lightly, closing her eyes and leaning her head into his warm hand. “Fine. But if this outing doesn’t involve food you owe me dinner,” she says curtly, grasping Sugawara’s hand and kissing it lightly. “I think I can handle that. Let’s go get you changed,” Sugawara grins, leaning in to kiss [Y/N] on the temple before leading her to her room with a small skip in his step.
[Y/N] giggled as Sugawara lifted her (his) shirt over her head and tossed it into her hamper across the room. She waddled to the open closet and plucked a green t-shirt and black skinny jeans from the mess of hangers, grabbing a jean jacket from the back of her desk chair as she made her way back to Sugawara, who sat on her bed mindlessly scrolling on his phone. “Can I have any clue where you’re taking me?” [Y/N] asks as she kicks papers out of the way, pulling down her shorts and shimmying into the skinny jeans. “Nope, sorry honey,” Sugawara glances up from his comfy spot, giving her a closed-eye smile. [Y/N] slips the shirt on, tying the loose bottom into a knot and tossing the jean jacket over her shoulder. “Will this be fine at least?” she asks, spinning around once in her new outfit. “Perfect,” Sugawara says and he stands, putting his strong arms around her waist and pulling her into a hug. “You look beautiful, as always,” he kisses the side of her head and turns her around by her shoulders. “Go get some shoes, and wear longer socks,” he instructs, a shit-eating grin breaking on his face as he flicks her asscheek and quickly scurries out of the room, laughing heartily. “Koushi! You bastard!” [Y/N] laughs as she tugs on socks and high-top converse, pulling her hair from its bun and letting it fall freely. “Let’s go, my dear,” Sugawara takes her hand gently, locking the door behind them as they stepped into the hot outdoors.

Sugawara pulled into a small parking lot full of cars, his car shuddering as he rolled over potholes that littered the entire lot. Probably getting a little over-excited at finding an empty parking spot, he whips between the lines and throws the emergency brake up, turning to [Y/N] with a grin and a wild look in his eyes. The pair could hear bass bumping through the walls, and as [Y/N] opened the door and stepped out, she saw the business’ sign. “Skateland..?” she says, peering over the top of Sugawara’s car as he fumbled with his keys and stepped out. “Yes yes yes we’re going roller skating,” he clicks the key fob twice, car beeping as it locks. “What.” [Y/N] spits lowly, looking between the entrance and Sugawara, eye twitching. “You know I have zero balance, right?” she says, stepping toward her boyfriend and grabbing his hand. “It’s cute,” was all Sugawara had to offer as he quickly tugged [Y/N] toward the entrance. She grumbled under her breath, stomping her feet and groaning in exaggerated defiance. Eventually she fell into a fit of giggles, tightening her grip on Sugawara’s hand and cuddling closer to his side. Once at the counter, he paid for two hours of skate time and two pairs of skates, hauling his girlfriend behind him as he pushed open the inner door to the rink. Pop music filled their ears, upbeat bass being blasted from speakers surrounding the entire building. A small concession stand was to their right, and the counter to rent skates was on the left. A walkway stretched in front of them and curved to the right, leading directly to the hardwood skating rink. The air smelled of shoe refresher and popcorn, the sights and sounds almost leading to a sensory overload. A small smile broke on [Y/N]’s face as she walked with Sugawara to the rental counter. “You’ve been ice skating before, right? And you can relatively stand on those right?” Sugawara asks, turning to face the employee who waited patiently for them. “Yeah, but let’s just try the normal ones first, not the inline,” [Y/N] says, smiling at the employee. “I’m a size (s/s) in womens,” she turned, looking around the building in awe. Sugawara grabbed a pair of inline skates in his side and took both pairs, shuffling over to a carpeted bench across the walkway. [Y/N] sat next to him, taking her shoes off and pulling her socks farther up her ankles. “Okay, so, you’re gonna want lots of support on your ankles,” Sugawara instructs, pushing his shoes off and pulling his socks up as well. “Otherwise you’ll twist them, probably,” he laughs, tugging on the first skate and tying the laces tightly. [Y/N] follows his movements, pulling on her laces tightly. When both were on and tight, she held her legs out and rolled her feet in circles. “I think I’m set,” she says, looking to Sugawara who now stood over her significantly, several inches taller than normal. He held out a hand and she took it, hoisting herself up on unsteady feet. She grabbed his arms tightly, the odd feeling of wheels underneath her feet difficult to get used to. “Now all you have to do is shuffle your feet, like you’re walking but don’t pick your feet up,” Sugawara says over the music, holding her forearms tightly. [Y/N] hunched over, trying to put one foot in front of the other. Slowly, she started moving forward. “Great job!” Sugawara exclaimed fondly, expertly skating backwards in his inline skates as [Y/N] slowly shuffled with him. “It gets a lot easier when you’re off carpet and on hardwood, I promise,” he says, bending to kiss her on the top of the head as [Y/N] nodded vigorously. They made their way down the walkway, people much more skilled than them whizzing past. When [Y/N] reached the lip that turned from carpet to hardwood, she looked up at Sugawara, determination shining in her eyes. “I’m ready,” she says, dramatically stepping over the ridge and past Sugawara. He gripped onto her waist, following her onto the floor and giving her some momentum. [Y/N] naturally gravitated to the wall, gripping onto the soft carpet as she tried getting some speed by pushing her left foot outward like she had been seeing others do. It took her ten minutes to make one lap, but when she did she practically leaped into Sugawara’s arms, catching him off guard. Sugawara, unable to plant the rubber brake in time, wrapped his arms around [Y/N] and fell onto his ass, making a dramatic oof before laughing loudly. She looked down at him before frantically trying to get back on her feet. She held out a hand to him, pulling him up to stand over her again. “Sorry,” she smiled cheekily before turning and pushing off to skate ahead. [Y/N] eventually began to pick up speed, slowly inching away from the wall and wobbling much less when someone startles her. Sugawara skated patiently nearby, admiring her determination and independence. [Y/N] tugged on the bottom of his shirt after another couple laps, jerking her head toward the carpet seating outside the rink and Sugawara nodded, grinning. He skated ahead of her, waiting at the exit and offering a hand to help her over the ridge again. “Ahh man, this is hurting muscles I didn’t even know I had!” [Y/N] exclaimed, dramatically sitting on a carpeted bench just outside of the rink. Sugawara laughed, taking a spot next to her and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. She shrugged it off, pulling her hair into a ponytail and groaning. “Too hot for cuddles,” [Y/N] complained, dropping her arms again and reaching down to tighten the knot in her laces. “How has your ability to skate never come up before?” she questions her boyfriend, turning to look at him and Sugawara shrugged, a smile on his face. “Honestly, I’m not sure. Considering this is the only rink of any kind from here until Tokyo I’m not sure why I haven’t brought you before,” “Well, I think this is one of the best dates I’ve had, Koushi. Thank you for forcing me to take a break from studying,” [Y/N] smiled lightly, kissing Sugawara gently and scooting closer to him. His arm wrapped back around her shoulder and they watched the other patrons skate in a circle. After a moment of rest, Sugawara stands, pressing his lips to [Y/N]’s forehead before saying, “Let me get us some drinks. Do you want (fav. soda)?” [Y/N] nods, smiling as she watched his retreating figure. Her heart swelled with appreciation and love, the feeling not foreign to her. She watched him order the drinks, deeply envying his social skills as he looked back to her and made eye contact before waving wildly in her direction. [Y/N] waved shyly back, the smile on her face somehow growing larger than before. Sugawara soon returned to his love, a styrofoam cup in each hand and two packages of fruit snacks locked between his teeth. He dropped the fruit snacks into [Y/N]’s lap, setting down her drink next to her and taking his place on her other side. “They didn’t have [fav. soda] so I got you [second fav. soda] instead, I hope that’s okay,” he glances sideways at her, taking a sip of his drink. “Of course! Thank you so much,” [Y/N] says gratefully, handing Sugawara one of the fruit snacks and taking a happy sip of her drink. The two sat in a comfortable silence for a moment, [Y/N]’s head resting on Sugawara’s shoulder and fingers intertwined. When her feet began to ache, [Y/N] took that as a sign to stand, setting her food and drink down on the bench and skating to the rink entrance. “Let’s go, now there’s only an hour left,” she called to Sugawara and he stood, following closely behind. [Y/N] pulled him onto the rink, much more comfortable on wheels than she had ever been before.

The two decided to call it quits after Sugawara took another fall, landing on his sore behind once again. He had been trying to teach [Y/N] how to skate backwards, but as his back was turned, he rammed straight into a kid who had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sugawara let go of [Y/N]’s hands, frantically trying to keep his balance as he felt himself tipping. The kid scurried away before Sugawara fell, crashing onto the hardwood flooring. He almost took [Y/N] with him, her lack of innate balance really coming back to bite her as she flailed about, trying to regain her balance. She finally did, feeling proud of herself and she punched the air triumphantly. “Babe! Didja see that? I didn’t fall!” Sugawara groaned from the ground, shifting to his knees and slowly standing up. “Yay, sweetheart, I’m proud of you,” he said, smiling through a grimace. “Oh no, oh dear, are you okay?” [Y/N]’s face immediately falls and Sugawara gives her a thumbs up. “I’m a-okay my love, just a little scraped up,” [Y/N] laughs lightly, tugging on his arm and pulling him toward the rink’s exit. “Let’s get you home, I’ll fix you up right quick!” she exclaims, sitting on their bench and tugging her skates off. Sugawara opened his mouth to assure her that it was okay and he could continue, but over the intercom an employee announced the 15-minute warning for the end of the time. [Y/N] smiled up at Sugawara. “Perfect timing!” she says, effectively silencing the protests that sat on the tip of Sugawara’s tongue. They took off their skates together, shoving the laces inside and setting them back on the rental counter. They walked out of the building, fingers intertwined as they laughed at the memories made and they thought up ideas for dinner. [Y/N] reached around Sugawara’s waist, pulling him closer to her and squeezing his side. “I’ll drive for you,” he narrowed his eyes at her statement, slowly pulling his keys from his pocket and eyeing her down. “Can I trust you with my car?” “You mean your rust bucket? Yes, Koushi, we’ve been over this,” he continued squinting at her as he pressed the key fob into her open hand and she squealed, running the rest of the way to his car and clambering into the driver’s seat. Sugawara followed her wearily as his hand subconsciously rubbed the bruise forming on his hip. He slid into the passenger’s seat, closing the door beside him and looking at his girlfriend. Without warning, [Y/N] flicked his forehead, grinning ear-to-ear. “That’s what you get for earlier,” Sugawara rolled his eyes, putting his hands up in defeat. “Yeah I guess I deserved that,” they giggled, [Y/N] facing forward and starting the car. She lowered the emergency brake, reversing out of their parking spot and left the rink behind them. [Y/N] rolled the windows down, the warm summer evening air rushing in and rustling both teenager’s hair violently as she turned the radio up to drown out the noise. Sugawara grabbed her free hand, rubbing his thumb gently against the back of it as she belted out the lyrics to the song playing on the radio. He smiled at her as her hair flew wildly with the wind, her driving hand tapping to the beat of the song, and her perfect smile peeking through her off-pitch (and often incorrect) lyrics. [Y/N] turned to smile at him briefly during a pause in the song, before releasing his hand and throwing her arms in the air, singing with the bass drop. She laughed loud enough to be heard over both the wind and the music, and this only solidified Sugawara’s long-held feeling that this is what he wanted for the rest of his life.

WITCHCRAFT
For artists who have problems with perspective (furniture etc.) in indoor scenes like me - there’s an online programm called roomsketcher where you can design a house/roon and snap pictures of it using different perspectives.
It’s got an almost endless range of furniture, doors, windows, stairs etc and is easy to use. In addition to that, you don’t have to install anything and if you create an account (which is free) you can save and return to your houses.
